Add to road hazard list: 1) flooding, and 2) ice

Great news! option to report flooded road is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.
You can also check this link to learn more about reporting bad weather.

I would like to suggest that you enter the flood option for the alerts on the map during navigation. Yesterday in Salvador da Bahia many streets were flooded and I wanted to notify and this option does not exist yet. My suggestion for the next update.

Add predictive traffic patterns into the system to route drivers around traffic that has been historically proven heavy traffic during certain times. Also add predictive analysis to give probabilities of possible flooding prestorm and during. Big data issues with both but still solvable. I can do this by hand but needs to be automated.

Great idea.
Here to the city where I live, it would be incredible because we have a river that suffers from the tides and always when it coincides with rain and high tide, floods several downtown streets and neighborhoods. -

A great tool for the user waze would be weather forecast and natural disasters in the chosen path, preventing and informing the user of a possible temporal, flood, snowfall, frost ......, and also informing that at that time the trip could There would be no delays or no destination.

I was wondering if the Waze app indicate flood areas? For example, if you drive the 110 freeway daily for work and would like to know if theres a flood area in certain areas.

This!
And, again add the option to note whether this is lane specific or the entire road - e.g. the #1 lane on the 10 East in a specific portion past downtown LA always floods after 20 minutes of rain, but if you don't take the road you don't know to avoid that lane.

I just want to share an experience i had a couple of days ago. It's rainy season here again in the Philippines and roads here can get flooded easily. So I was on my way home two nights ago and I consulted Waze on the best route since I know traffic would be bad. Waze gave 3 routes. Two would take me almost 2hrs and then one route with just a little over 1hr. So I took the fastest route. Abt 30mins into my drive, i was facing a flooded road with abt knee deep of water. On the map there was no traffic, but I sure wish somebody was able to report that it was already flooded. I just hope you can add a feature for that kind of situation. Thanks.

In Texas we needed a new caution hazard type this weak with all the rains and flooding. I marked road closures to submit for the low water crossings, but you don't have weather related road closure option.
My default navigation preference is fastest, and I don't mind driving more miles to get to my destination sooner, so I enjoy the back roads you guide me on when the interstate highway is jammed. But, you did not have as Hugh water crossing option and I had to turn around several times off your route, cause of the rains.

Search in the box to the right for "New Report options", that suggestion is in the top ones right now. But I don't think you will get it this week.
Maybe also vote for "Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.", it would be nice to be able to mute the warnings when you want to.

Maybe add to this one: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/2549196-new-report-options which already has a higher vote.
And maybe also this one https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/3559810-please-provide-an-option-to-turn-off-the-car-stop ... it would be nice to switch off these warnings if the user wants it.
But I doubt it's going to happen/be implemented this week.

When a street, intersection, underpass, etc is impassible due to high water or flooding it could be reported as a high water warning. Like the construction warning this would need to extend along a road and possibly be multidirectional (like at an intersection). A heads up notification that your normal route home has high water reported would be useful to let you know if you need to hurry up and get home before the water rises too much to get through. Thanks!

i look at the map on waze.com com for a live look at what is going on. i had a terrible commute in and i'm trying to figure out the best route. when i entered the start and end destinations from my commute home, TWO (2) of the routes given are going through roads that are clearly marked CLOSED due to high water/flooding. AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!

Houston, TX just went through another massive flooding event. It would be very helpful to show where roads are blocked by water so people can avoid the area. This could help prevent people from being trapped by the rising flood waters which could save their car and in some cases their life.
