Continue straight on highway
Recently my Waze has been telling me to continue straight on highways every time I drive passed an exit. While the “continue straight” feature is helpful for major highway intersections, I find the continuous updates to “continue straight” to be distracting while driving.

Adjust the period between consecutive instructions based not only on vehicle speed, but separation between waypoints. E.g: going through 2 roundabouts only 50m apart, give the pre-emptive instruction together ("at roundabout go left, then at next roundabout go right") but still give an immediate instruction at each roundabout. If there is a third roundabout 50m later, then the immediate instruction for the second roundabout is also a pre-emptive one ("turn right, then at next roundabout turn left"). The idea is to never give more than 2 instructions per waypoint (except for a timeout where the driver runs into traffic, pulls over &c).
Currently, the pre-emptive is repeated, and there are redundant reminders in some backstreet scenarios. -

Totally agreed but either Waze do not read these comments here or don’t care! Is there a third option?

Continue straight! Thank you for taking it off in audio but also take it off of visual, we don’t need it! Pls read all the reviews, once i know i need to turn L or R in x miles, why would i turn before?!?!?!?!?
Every time this appears on screen, i am getting offended! Cannot help but think Waze doubts my intelligence! Take it off altogether, please, thank you! (Or is this feature introduced by a very influential person in the company? Read all the reviews, no one likes it!) -

I agree completely. Continue Straight is a useless direction that blocks a driver's ability to properly select a lane. I've seen subsequent directions to turn or exit be as little as 300 feet past the Continue Straight blindfold.

On some journeys there is a number of direction “continue straight”
I would suggest an option to silent this sir fix guidance which is not really helpful, at least on my journeys. -

I completely agree!!!! I see this pop up no less than 50 times a day and it interferes on where I need to get off the highway. I wrote about this 100s f times and the map editors cant fix it

Please remove the "Continue Straight" notice. I don't need to know when I should continue straight, just I need to turn. It is especially confusing when the "Continue Straight" notice comes in close proximity to a turn notification. Please get rid of this feature!

Often when driving down a straight road/highway, the app tells me to "continue straight." When it does this, it hides the remaining distance to the turn I'm actually supposed to take. This has caused me to miss my turn multiple times.
I know I can talk to my local community editors, but that doesn't help, because they want to keep adding "continue straight" instructions. Presumably this is helpful for people who can't read/understand road signs, but I'm not one of those people. I'm not going to turn or exit unless I'm told, I don't just randomly turn or exit without instruction.
All I'm asking for is a way to disable this feature for those who find it unnecessary.

# critical for my driving
I look at the instruction at the top of the screen frequently while driving
to know things like:
the number of miles until my next turn
which direction i will be turning
the name of the street i will be turning on
if traffic has caused a new rout i should takethe message "500 feet continue straight" causes moments of:
"500 feet!!! I need to turn now", "oh continue strait"
"but how long until i turn"
"which way will i be turning"
"what was the name of the exit again"
"what road are we turning on"
"I-25 north or south, its coming up after the 500 feet"I have read that some people like the feature
(I am finding it very frustrating)
* Request to please make a setting allowing toggle off? -

Please stop telling us to go "straight ahead" whenever we approach a junction on the motorway. It is unnecessary and dangerous.
I want to be informed of my turn off or an alternative turn off if facing traffic , etc.
The go straight ahead announcement is a 70mph distraction. -

Most "Continue Straight" notifications I receive are on straight, multi-lane streets/highways where the obvious thing to do is to continue straight (unless you are supposed to turn or take an exit ramp onto another road). I receive this notification on state and interstate highways as well as major and minor city streets, and in almost every case it has proven to be unnecessary and is usually confusing. Sometimes I encounter this when crossing state and county borders, and when there is the mere option of taking a ramp to another highway or street. Occasionally, I encounter multiple "continue straight" notifications back-to-back within 1 mile when the only options would have been to take 90° turns onto side streets.
I have noted the addition of arrows showing multiple lanes and indicating the lane for my turns, but that sometimes occurs with the "continue straight" notifications, too. Effectively, it comes off as "don't turn here," "don't turn here," "don't turn here" reminders when all I need to do is stay on the same road for 75 miles.
The difficulty in navigation comes on navigation in UNFAMILIAR areas (the primary benefit of Waze use) when I need to know how long I continue straight until my next turn. On long or complex drives, mentally calculating time (approx. 3 min. vs. 1 min. until exit, etc.) allows me to know when to begin my set-up for my turn. The "continue straight" screen obscures any info about my next move and that has let to several wrong turns on interstate and city trips. I once ended up 30 miles into the wrong state on an alternate route, having missed the turn notification that was obscured by the "continue straight" occurring at the state line. The turn followed so closely to the state line that before my (planned) turn notification could be displayed, Waze had recalculated my route and then displayed the *next* turn as if I wanted to go through backroads in the dark and rain rather than the (admittedly poorly marked) state highway. I missed the turn because I didn't recognize un-obvious signage and because I trusted Waze.
If "continue straight" seems helpful to enough people to keep it, please add an additional line that includes the next turn and milage.

Should be an option to submit unnecessary Keep Straight on the same road directions when the road doesn't even fork. Needlessly hides/delays the next useful direction and also misleads as to how long to stay on the current road until the next actual TURN

Could you please add spoken instructions on the second next turn? Now it just says "in 200 meters turn left" but in a multi lane situation it makes quite a difference which lane you are in if the second next turn is either left or right.
Other navigation apps and systems, such as Google and Garmin, will tell you "in 200 meters turn left, then right". That is very useful information because it allows you to choose the best lane to easily make the second next turn.
Waze is already very good and if you can add this feature it will simply be great. -

When I need to turn right and then immediately turn left, the voice navigation should tell me "Turn Right and then Turn Left," instead of "Turn Right" and once I do say "Turn Left," so that I can prepare for the immediate turn.
