Instead of adding a Pause button, ask what we are stopping for.
When stopped and it asks if you are in traffic, if the answer is no, let us tell you what we are stopped for. Also, if we go off route, ask if we are leaving our route for bathroom, food, gas, etc. Once we get back in the car, based on where we are, let us tell you where we stopped, and rate it. If for food, let us rate it and integrate the rating with Yelp. If bathroom, let us rate the quality of the restroom overall and if it is family friendly. I have been on the road so much, and wished I could search for a clean restroom along my route. A pause button would be nice, but I think telling Waze why we are stopping, and reporting back with our ratings would better serve the Waze community.

Excellent ideas, still 2 years later! Does Google Maps do those things?
