Hi, so let's say you get in your car, you're just going to Walmart. You know where walmart is.. so you don't open waze. There's a cop/ object on road on your road. Waze sends u a push notification alerting you even if it's not actively open on your phone.

Yes this will waste battery but hear me out.
You can make it where you choose what kinds of alerts you want while "offline" and to save battery you can code the app to launch in the background only while driving. So it's not always a background process wasting battery.
Almost all modern phones have some sort of sensor that knows you're driving. So it's easily possible and a great way to upgrade waze :)
