when I am riding, I do not want to be bothered by messages from other apps. Sometimes messages come blocking my view at critical points. Also I do not need, while I am riding, that my phones checks the data of all my apps. On a mount, under the sun, a phone tends to get very hot so I would like to be able to set my phone to only focus on Waze and anything else would be dismissed.

We need to be able to turn off these social notifications, as they are very distracting to the driver and dangerous

The new +5 notifications keep interrupting my music and podcasts while driving. There is no setting under push, text, email or reports notifications to turn off the nags. Please let make it clear how to turn off sounds in the app, or at least let us turn off social sounds. Sound is the primary interface to Waze, it is extremely important to keep the signal to noise ratio high... Getting 10 social notifications a minute undermines navigation, alerts and Waze as a whole.

Good suggestion... but even better to have a lockout / password protected option for parents to deploy for teenage drivers. To be activated immediately as driving speed is greater than 10 mph.

I have e-mail as one of the 4 'locked' icons on my start screen. When nagivating and receiving an e-mail, the information from Waze stops (map is running, but no spoken messages anymore). Is this possible to overrule (so: block messages coming in when navigating? I am not allowed to read mail whilst driving anyway). Thanks. Eric

Waze stops its navigation and/or voice directions when Whatsapp messages are sent. There should be a way of disabling such notifications so that Waze can do what it does best
