I often use the “go later” feature to plan drive times when I travel. Unfortunately it doesn’t work when the place is far away. For example, if I am currently in the US but traveling to the UK next week and I want to know how long it will take to drive from my hotel in London to Heathrow airport on a Thursday morning.

I search for Heathrow and then click “go later” but before I can change the starting location as my hotel, it throws an error message because it tries to calculate the route from where I am currently located in the US. It should give you an opportunity to change the starting location and then calculate the drive time.
