this seems like a hugely overlooked but simple to implement feature, some of the voices are either too monotone or too high pitched and actually driving around to test is just weird, put in a way to sample/hear the voices during the selection, please!

I'm sure folks would like to know what a Waze "voice" sounds like as soon as they select one, without having to "save" it, then take a "trip," to hear it! Whenever the user selects a "voice," it would say something like, "Turn left at the next light" or similar, making it much easier to decide which voice is best.

I am new to waze...setting up info and looking at navigation..i thought absolutely there should be a test button for hearing navigational voice as choosing it .

It would be AWESOME to be able to preview the voice choices and to preview what each vehicle looks like prior to making the selections.

Not all voices are clear to everyone. Being able to preview each sound during the select process is essential. I choose different options for different trips (sometimes street names are necessary; higher pitched voice on noisy roads, etc). And I like to choose quickly without having to wait for a voice instruction. This is a critical feature since we don’t want to make these changes while driving.

I’d also like to see a function where you can find things along the way or add stops like Google.

Well, I just installed the app, wanted to change the voice and ... found out a very basic functionality of testing the sound is missing since 2015. Come on...

Add a voice preview feature. This is one the most desired requested features... yet when it's suggested there is never a comment from you guys... at least respond.

We get customized voices and such to pick from but no way to preview the voice unless already driving. Simply putting a preview voice would go a long way for this.

Looks like people have been asking for a "Test Voice" button for years... how hard can it be?

I need the ability to test whether the voice and volume are ok before starting out on a long navigation.

It should be easy enough to do... Just add a function when you select the voice, you can trigger an event, in addition to actually changing that setting, you could trigger it to say a line that "this is the new voice for Waze..." or something like that.

Please! With no GPS in the building, it's impossible to test if the configuration is working easily.

Yes. It would be great if a sample of the voice played immediately after tapping on it. Going back to maps and adding another destination then waiting for the voice to say something is truly unnecessary.
