Add a Toilet Place Category
There is currently no toilet place category, there is however apparently a search category for toilet. It would be ideal to create a place category for toilet tied to the search category so that public toilets can be mapped more effectively than simply using "Other". This could then potentially be tied to a quick search category in app.

Have icon for Public toilets or Toilets open to public both along roads, in cities and parks and ability to mark as opened/closed and cleanliness - also ability to report condition to local council etc to report cleaning / repairs required

PROBLEM:
Several times a day, all humans share the common need to use the restroom. Some of us need to go more frequently than others for various reasons, but when nature calls, it’s a universal truth that we have to answer.
In contrast to Waze's capabilities in providing traffic updates, routes, parking and directions, there is currently no shortcut feature for locating public restrooms. This gap underscores the challenge of finding nearby public restrooms, particularly in unfamiliar areas. Even if you manage to find one, it may be closed for maintenance during certain hours or lack essential amenities like accessibility or a changing station. Moreover, you might discover that the restroom is unclean or unsafe, leading you to regret not choosing a different direction where a restroom offering a more pleasant experience could have been just two minutes the other way.
SOLUTION:
Bathroom needs can rise unexpectedly at anytime, making it essential to find the nearest restroom quickly. Imagine if Waze could utilize your location to pinpoint nearby public restrooms. Users could then rate these facilities based on cleanliness, capacity, safety and available amenities. Details such as whether the restroom is currently open and its operating hours would also be provided, ensuring that users have crucial information when they need it most. This feature would greatly enhance convenience and help users find suitable restrooms efficiently.

Have an obvious button and/or a voice command to display (and when selected, route to) public bathrooms along your route. In settings, you should be able to select categories, like "rest area," "gas station or restaurant with restrooms," and distance from route (either in time or miles), etc. in order to establish a default search and display when the "show restrooms" switch is toggled.

Changing Places toilets are accessible toilets which provide extra equipment for those who need support transferring from a wheelchair to the toilet, or for those who need changing. People who use Changing Places toilets can't use standard accessible toilets.

If you did a survey, to determine the high percentage of gas stations and mini marts that have an "out of order" sign posted, you would be shocked.
And perhaps Waze users could drop a "pin" or flag a business that allows Waze users, access to their public restroom (including hours of operation to said accessible restroom. For instance my local STARBUCKS list it's hours of operations M-Sun, open till 1am. But only the drive through is open till 1am, the main establishment locks the doors to enter at 10pm.)
These suggestions are a win/win situation, providing free positive advertising, driving customers to their business and creating loyal clientele for said businesses who let Waze drivers use their restrooms!

This would be especially helpful for NYC. I had the same idea. All the toilet finder apps out there don't seem to be live updating. Nor do they inform one of the state of the toilet. Waiting in a line for 20 minutes with a 6 year old that has to go when there may be a better option with less wait time a block away would rule

As with the other suggestion - also a brilliant drawcard for an app.
