I was going to make a similar suggestion. A related issue is that the cursor location keeps returning to the Search icon, making it hard to report issues (which is the icon I like to stay on). Also, when a notification appears, it's very hard to navigate to the "Thanks" or "Not There" buttons. Even if you try, the cursor location returns to Search.
