A way to report Gas Stations or EV Stations that are out of service or out of gas
Normally during storms, people will stock up on gasoline and stores may run out of gas to sell. Having a feature that allows users to report when gas stations are out of gas or EV stations are out of service on the Waze app would be incredibly useful for drivers. Not only would it save time and frustration by allowing drivers to avoid gas stations that are out of service, but it could also help promote safer driving practices. For instance, if a driver is low on gas and there are no nearby gas stations with available fuel, they may be more likely to speed or drive recklessly in an attempt to reach a gas station further away. By providing real-time information about gas station availability, drivers can make informed decisions about their driving habits, ultimately leading to a safer and more efficient driving experience. This addition could save drivers precious time and prevent frustrating detours by providing real-time information on the availability of essential resources. For traditional vehicles, knowing in advance which gas stations are depleted can prevent unnecessary stops and help drivers plan their refueling more strategically. Similarly, for EV owners, having accurate data on functional charging stations is pivotal to ensuring seamless journeys and alleviating range anxiety. Waze could further create a dynamic network where drivers actively contribute to more accurate and reliable data.
I hope this idea comes to fruition or at least taken into consideration, and/or others like the idea to make it real.
