* Report motorcycle nearby.
* The alert stays active within about 300 meters of the reporting driver’s live location.
* As the reporting driver keeps moving, the alert updates in real time and moves with them.

Nearby drivers receive direction-based alerts:

* Drivers behind the reporting vehicle: “Motorcycle ahead within 300 meters.”
* Drivers in front of the reporting vehicle: “Motorcycle behind you within 300 meters.”

Community confirmation:

* Nearby drivers can tap “Seen it” to confirm the report.
* Once confirmed, the moving alert also activates for the confirming driver, so it continues updating drivers within their own 300-meter range.
* Confirmed reports stay active for a limited time.
* Unconfirmed reports automatically disappear after a short period.

This can help drivers avoid unnecessary overtaking and improve safety for motorcyclists in traffic.

We are actively pursuing getting motorcycle safety awareness added to all in car navigation and GPS safety settings globally in honor of my fallen should be son in law. All we are asking for is a simple image of a motorcycle on the screen that reminds you at major intersections and turns to look twice for riders. Motorcycle safety awareness added to the safety settings. When route is entered it would alert you to look twice for riders and pop back up periodically at major intersections. We should put a button in the navigation screen to alert other drivers there are motorcycles on the road or near by to promote safety. Easy access by tapping the button if driving just to alert other drivers to potentially save lives. Or we can give motorcyclists the ability to check in so other drivers are more alert and aware they are on the road.

Motorcycles get a icon like it has now but it alerts all drivers in a certain area that motorcycles are around. This would be used in fast paced heavy traffic areas so that lane switches can be crucial. I lost my son and some close friends because they were not seen, this could have alerted the drives pay closer attention.

Ideally there would be a piece of hardware that can be mounted to the motorcycle to be always on like an air tag. No mobile device needed.

I and many others are put off having a motorbike because of the risks associated with other drivers not seeing riders approaching. Which is a shame because bikes are incredibly efficient for a solo commute to and from work. Wouldn't it be great if a rider could select 'motorbike mode' and then when riding, other Waze users are alerted to their approach direction and speed. In todays world, with todays technology, the risk of other road users not seeing riders can and should be reduced. If I got a message telling me that "There is a motorbike approaching from your right at 30mph" it would provide even more clarity on the situation before continuing. Maybe this could be shared across all navigation platforms to increase motorbike awareness?

To alert any occurrences of illegal motorcycle n bicycle racing on main roads. This is to avoid accidents, save lives and avoid jail terms for car drivers . Unique situation in Malaysia only.

Add an alert for car driving Wazers of when a motorcycle riding Wazer is near or about to cross paths with the car driver. This would provide car drivers with a warning about the up coming motorcycle that they might not see.

Some motorists like to weave in and out through traffic. Often times, these drivers/riders are only noticed once they fly by, which can be dangerous or fatal for anyone involved. We can increase driver awareness by adding a “Motorcycle Approaching” or “Fast Vehicle Approaching” feature in the Navigation mode. This will warn other Wazers that a fast motorcycle or fast vehicle may be approaching and to be extra cautious when merging. With a larger audience aware of fast-approaching vehicles, we can attempt to save more lives.

Example feature...

Wazer 1: Report > Hazard > On Road > Motorcyclist passing

Wazer 2: “Watch out. Motorcyclist reported in your proximity.”

Wazer 1: Report > Hazard > On Road > Fast Vehicle

Wazer 2: “Watch out. ‘Fast vehicle approaching’ reported behind you.”

I was thinking the same thing these past few weeks. If there was a way to display that I am a waze motorcycle rider on route and it alerts waze drivers to be aware that there is a motorcycle rider coming up into their proximity.

Help make drivers aware there are motorcycles ahead to make it safer for motorcyclists.

That whould alert other Waze users, that there is a motorcycle coming. Adding to the rider's safety.

Too many possible false warnings... dynamic situations that won't be valid in 5 minutes (depending on the speeding ;) . I'm not for ;)

How about a Waze icon to warn of being passed by vehicles traveling at excessively high speeds i.e. over 100 mph? Street and highway racers are not only killing themselves but taking innocent bystanders with them. Please consider how we can help warn people that high speed idiots are approaching them. Thank you for your consideration.
