Drag racing on Honeycutt Road, Cumberland County, Fayetteville NC
At certain hours (at dusk and when it’s dark), there are drag racers that frequent HoneyCutt Road in Cumberland County and on the Fort Liberty side as well. They frequent this road, because there are no traffic lights after the one by Simmons Airfield. Those individuals will ride your bumper and speed around you. Whenever there have been accidents they’re usually severe due to high speed. So people need to be aware. Department of Transportation are very much aware of this ongoing issue and they have done nothing to install additional traffic lights as that would cut down on the ramapant drag racing.
