move hazard alert button
The hazard alert icon is in the lower left corner of the screen on my android auto waze screen. This results in taking my eyes off the road to reach it across the dash. If it were relocated to the lower left corner of android auto screen it would facilitate easier and safer access.

Agreed. Moving this button to the left will help keep the eyes on the road. Seeking and pressing it on the right takes a significant fraction of time in which the driver can cause an accident.
