airborn police
In addition to an alert for police vehicles that are mobile - it would be nice for some kind of an alert for airborn police. I was traveling a week ago and spotted what was most likely an police airplane but there was no useful way to report it.

Hello,
I would like to draw your attention to a fact encountered for some time in Romania, the air police - helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs fly daily over the roads and highways and is equipped with a high-performance camera and radar. It is posted daily on social networks and followed by enthusiasts through Flight Radar.
Could this be a new feature for Waze? it would be something that brings novelty to the application, which would differentiate it even more from the other competitors. Do you think it would be a novelty to synchronize with Fligh Radar so that you can be notified in real time of the helicopter's position?! -

In my area, the police sometimes use a small aircraft and issue speeding tickets based upon a 'clock time' as obtained from that aircraft. Officers below than stop vehicles and issues citations. Is there a way to put a "possible air patrol alert ahead". The police use two painted markers on the interstate to 'clock' the vehicles. I live in South Louisiana and the area I am referring to is on I-55 North between mile markers 20 and 22. As this is an area of elevated interstate (22.5 miles in total), there is no place for the police to hide.
That is why they use aircraft to ticket speeders. -

It's possible to track airplanes based on N-Numbers and it's also public info which of those planes belong to law enforcement. I think it would be cool to have an alert and icon for police aircraft airborne within a certain radius based on the aircraft altitude to determine the chances they have visibility of where you are driving and alert of a possible air based speed trap. Iowa is a state does this as well as speed cameras as a money grab. Was tempted to make this myself but would rather have it built in to Waze.

I was recently driving using waze and saw a police hazar ahead, the standard police icon, got to the location of the police icon and saw no police so started paid no attention what i noticed when i got the 300e speeding fine was that there was a police helicopter around the corner that was so high i didnt see....a police helicopter icon would fix this so it dosnt happen to other users.

To add another choice for police with a little time clock? with airplane on top of police head, so that we know they are traveling 🤷🏽♀️ also to know if they’re traveling behind us as well as in front of us….

Add the ability to report air patrols, which is very common in Ohio. It would be good to be aware when this is being used for those times when the patrols start before there is a reported police presence.

we have several states in the new england area and probably other states that use airplanes to monitor traffic. Any reported sighting should backtrack on the map three miles. It allows the driver to be on alert for signs saying be "prepared to slow down" !!! and to avoid police vehicles parked in the breakdown lanes

Please consider a feature to report actively police " Airplane Speed Traps". We would like a additional symbol other than " Hidden" or Visible". We a lot of them here in Miami Dade County on the Turnpike.
