Put the avoid freeways option on the route page. Stop hiding it.
Avoid Freeways option needs to be moved to the routes page. Make it as easy for us to change as the avoid tolls is.
Right now you have it buried and it takes a few clicks to get to it. And we all know that Waze does not give alternative routes UNLESS Avoid Freeways is turn off.

The navigation button to choose whether you want freeway or street should be on The routing page you should be able to access it . The settings button should be accessible with one click on the first screen or establish a navigation button on the first screen.
