Currently the only alert you can disable is the driving directions or everything, add an option to allow us to turn on/off individual types of alerts with a check box. When listening to the radio, its quite annoying that it keeps popping up with every little alert of cars on the shoulder and many other secondary alerts. There are times I want the DIRECTIONS but not every other alert on earth. Split alerts into several categories and allow me to choose. Most times all I want are directions and cops.
