*NEW* hazard notification for roadkill
Dear my WAZE PPL
First, I want to thank waze for creating such an outstanding navigation tool that helps so many drivers stay informed and safe on the road. I truly appreciate how the app continuously evolves to meet the needs of its users.
I’d like to suggest a potential improvement to the “Hazards” feature. While the current options, such as “Objects on Road,” are helpful, I believe there’s an opportunity to make the app even more informative and user-friendly by adding an alert specifically for roadkill or deceased animals on the road.
In my area, it’s common to encounter wildlife-related hazards on the road, which can pose significant safety concerns, especially at night or in areas with limited visibility. A dedicated alert, such as “Animal Hazard” or “Animal on Road,” could help address this issue while maintaining respectful and inclusive terminology. This phrasing would cover both live animals and roadkill, ensuring clarity without being off-putting.
I hope you’ll consider this enhancement to further improve Waze’s utility and safety for its users, Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Fonso

I totally agree. I live in a rural area and a dead wombat on the road can flip a small car. This is a real driving hazard. I often come upon them

PLEASE bring back the Roadkill Option Report. There are so many animals being left on the road, and it’s heartbreaking. With the Roadkill Report feature, people could easily log a sighting, take a screenshot, and send it directly to the appropriate animal services for cleanup or follow-up. It’s a simple but effective way to help.
As someone who drives a lot, I’ve often seen roadkill but couldn’t do mucH either because I was unfamiliar with the area or couldn’t safely stop. Sadly, all I could do was feel sorry for the animal. A quick, accessible reporting tool would make a real difference.
PLEASE BRING IT BACKKKK

Hi you guys need to add more options when using Waze with Android Auto. I used to be able to add a roadkill option under hazards as well as Animals both in the road and to the side. These are no longer there. Not sure who made the decision that less options is better but I can tell you that it is not. Please add more options in general so we can see what specifically could be in our way while driving. Every option that is within the Waze app itself should be available while using Android Auto. I thinks it's getting to be a rare thing when someone is using Waze in a car that doesn't have an Android Auto/CarPlay option, It's becoming the norm. So again please keep adding more features especially for Android Auto and try to not remove things at all. In the app and in life we'd rather have something and not need it then need it and not have. Helps to be prepared versus unprepared.

Object requires a thumb up from bottom of hazzard list taking eyes off the road too long searching for it

If road kill can’t be reinstated please move object to top of hazzard list
