Route by average speed
Sometimes the app suggests a route with a shorter total time, but with a much greater distance than the other options. For example: 5 minutes less with 10km more. Therefore, I suggest showing the average speed (Distance/Time) of each option.

Displaying the estimated average speed for each proposed route would help users make a more informed choice. In addition to comparing distance and travel time, average speed can provide an indication of the route’s characteristics.
A significantly lower average speed may suggest heavier congestion, numerous junctions and traffic lights, narrow or winding roads, poor road conditions, speed bumps, or a generally more complex route. A higher average speed may indicate smoother traffic flow and a greater proportion of highway or main-road driving.
The information could be shown beside each route’s estimated time and distance—for example: “42 min · 31 km · average 44 km/h.” It would require very little additional screen space because Waze already has the distance and estimated journey time needed to calculate it.
