Add Road Closure Reporting to Android Auto
I’d like to raise this again because it’s a major issue. A report was already made last year about adding Road Closure Reporting to Android Auto and it gained hundreds of votes and comments, yet there’s still been no visible progress or update.
Right now, Android Auto users are stuck driving into the same closed roads multiple times because we can’t report closures directly from the interface. Using the phone is unsafe (and illegal without a holder), and even when pulling over to try, the route often recalculates before the closure can be reported.
This feature already exists in the mobile app—why hasn’t it been extended to Android Auto yet? Can you please update the community on whether this is being worked on or if there are plans to implement it?
It’s not just a convenience feature—it directly affects safety, routing accuracy, and the overall reliability of Waze.

This feature is essential. I don’t understand why it isn’t integrated into Android Auto. I’ve encountered this situation several times: the road is blocked, there’s no way to report it, and Waze keeps trying at every intersection to get you back onto the road that’s… closed! It’s unusable.
