Please allow users to enable and disable turn-by-turn directions in the instrument cluster. I don’t want to see it on my instrument cluster when I already have it on my navigation screen. Turn-by-turn directions on the instrument cluster were only available before on Apple Maps, recently Google Maps added it without any mention in the app update notes and no option in the settings to turn it off. I’m glad it’s not yet available on Waze because users can not turn off this feature in vehicle settings CarPlay settings, phone settings not even steering wheel settings! The only way to disable it is with a dealer scan tool! Unless Apple, Maps Car CarPlay, and Waze add this as an option in their next update please make it an option in the settings for on / off to give customers the choice on the maps they are using. I have spent hours doing research and reading forums users are frustrated. I contacted Apple Maps / CarPlay and Google Maps as well. They need to add this as an option because what customers like me have discovered is that it’s not necessary to show it in the instrument cluster when it’s been previewed on a large navigation screen. Let me know if this clears up confusion. Please help to get this resolved next update need and include it in the update notes.
