Until this is implemented, my choice is Google Maps.

When integrated with CarPlay and viewing alternate routes, when selecting an alternate route, the ability to tap on the route itself to select versus having to choose from a small list. As another user suggested showing traffic to alternate routes would be also helpful.

לאפשר מצב מפה אינטראקטיבי שבו:
• סמן המיקום נשאר במרכז המסך.
• המשתמש מזיז את המפה וממקם את הנקודה הרצויה מתחת לסמן.
• בלחיצה בוחר את הנקודה כיעד.
• ניתן להשתמש במצב זה לפני או אחרי חיפוש טקסטואלי כדי לדייק את המיקום.

יתרונות
• חוויית משתמש פשוטה ואינטואיטיבית יותר.
• פתרון למצבים שבהם אין כתובת מדויקת.
• מאפשר בחירה קלה של צמתים, חניות, שטחים פתוחים, נקודות מפגש.
• יישור קו עם אחרים: הפיצ׳ר קיים כבר באפליקציות כמו Gett, Yandex, Wolt – והמשתמשים מכירים ואוהבים את זה.

דוגמת שימוש

משתמש רוצה להיפגש בצומת מסוימת. הוא פותח את המפה, מזיז אותה כך שהצומת נמצאת במרכז, לוחץ “בחר יעד”, והניווט מתחיל לשם.

Every other driving/map app can do it, why can't Waze?

You search for a destination in the text box, then you navigate on the map to find the exact location, you pin-point it on the map and you go. So simple. So basic. So 2025. Why is such a basic feature missing from Waze???

Being able to see what you're looking at on the map would be really useful. Like, if you don't know the specific address but know the location, you should be able to look at the zoomed in map and see the addresses on the map. Even Google maps has this

We really need to be able to tap on a location on the map & report issues. While driving it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where the alert is needed. I’m usually off by a mile or so. If I was able to tap that location, one I’ve already passed or even a road I know is closed, it would help other drivers. I don’t always get construction alerts so I can go another way. Which in some cases has caused over an hour delay. Even when I know the road has construction, it’s usually not on the map. If I was able to choose the location without actually driving down the road, or choose the location I’ve just driven on to report an issue, it would be more accurate. My sister doesn’t even try to alert bc she’s never fast enough to report it. It would be easier if we had the capability to select any location, traveled or not, and report an issue. It would save drivers a lot of time & hassle. Thank you & look forward to seeing new improvements.

Sometimes when I want to save some locations, I can't save the actual location because I can't find it when I enter the exact address. So it would be great if there was a possibility to just tap on the exact location on the map to choose a location that one want to save.

Being able to move around on the map in CarPlay and choosing a destination by tapping on the map like in the iPhone app would be great. Like this one does not have to remember the street's name and the location is more accurate.

Bug:
After searching Washington I am unable to click on map to find exact place and navigate there. I am able to navigate only to places that looks up after search Washington. But lot of time I just want to move map there and continue looking after.

If I know it was somewhere in Washington near centre (but not know exact road name), I am not able to go there any other way. Or I can just scroll and scroll with fingers directly from LA.

I would like to be able to navigate to a certain point by selecting location on the map

waze requires entering an address but has gps data. why not allow user to designate "here" as a location or allow giving any useful identifier name instead of requiring entering an address. often I've entered addresses and waze does lengthy searches, sometimes not even finding the address I'm sitting in front of.

Today, you can only add a stop by choosing a favourite or typing a location. Often, when I drive to a certain location, I stop by a small detour on the map of a location I just know by ... location. I think being able to just open up the map and touch where you need to go would greatly improve the 'Add a stop' feature
