Serious CarPlay Bug – White Screen When Selecting Alternate Routes
Hello Waze Support,
There is a serious and long-standing bug in Waze on Apple CarPlay that makes alternate routes completely unusable.
Every time I select an alternate route during navigation, the entire Waze screen turns white. Once this happens, the app becomes completely stuck and cannot be recovered from within CarPlay. The only way to get Waze working again is to disconnect the phone from CarPlay and reconnect it.
This issue occurs consistently and is fully reproducible. It is not an occasional glitch—it happens whenever an alternate route is selected.
Because of this bug, I can no longer use one of the most important features of Waze. The alternate route function is effectively broken on CarPlay, making the app unreliable and frustrating to use while driving.
This problem should not exist in a production release. A navigation app becoming completely unusable simply because a user selects an alternate route is unacceptable.
Please fix this issue as soon as possible.
