Optional Truck Scale Warning Feature for Waze
would like to suggest a new safety feature for Waze.
Please consider adding an optional “Truck Scale Warning” feature.
When this option is turned on, Waze should alert the user approximately 5 miles before an upcoming weigh station (truck scale).
For example:
🚛 “Truck Scale Ahead — 5 Miles”
The feature should be optional, so each user can turn it ON or OFF according to their preference.
Giving drivers an early warning would give them enough time to prepare and enter the scale safely. It could also help prevent sudden braking, sudden lane changes, or other unexpected movements. In some situations, this early warning could help prevent accidents and collisions and improve road safety.
I believe this would be a very useful safety feature for Waze and could benefit drivers and other road users.
