Motorcycle interface improvement
Hello Waze Team,
I am a regular Waze user and find your app excellent for navigation and real-time traffic information.
However, as a motorcyclist, I have found that the current incident-reporting system is not well-suited for use while riding.
When on the road, interacting with a smartphone screen—especially while wearing gloves and with the phone mounted on the handlebars—is difficult and potentially dangerous.
It would be highly beneficial to develop an interface specifically designed for motorcyclists, which could include:
• Easy reporting of accidents, hazards, obstacles, or speed cameras.
• Reporting of risks specific to two-wheeled vehicles, such as loose gravel, fuel spills, slippery road surfaces, debris, potholes, or speed cameras.
• A simplified reporting mechanism using external hardware controls (push buttons and an acknowledgment LED) connected via Bluetooth.
• Minimizing the need to touch the screen while riding.
The goal is to allow motorcyclists to continue contributing to the Waze community while enhancing their own safety and that of other road users.
Could you let me know if such improvements are being considered, and if there is a channel through which I can submit this proposal to your product or technical team?
I am also willing to develop an interface for testing within a beta version.
Thank you for your hard work and for considering this suggestion.
Best regards,
A Waze user and dedicated motorcyclist
