Wildlife Crossing Alerts - Koalas
Every year millions of native animals are killed and injured on Australian roads. Recent statistics indicate over 4,000 of these are koalas, a species classified as endangered. Over 80% of koalas hit by vehicles will die as a result of their injuries. Many of these deaths could be prevented if drivers were alerted to known koala crossing "hot spots" and reminded to drive wildlife aware. Every koala killed on our roads places them closer to extinction. As drivers we can all do our part to make sure that doesn't happen. Please help us make sure koalas are kept safe on our roads!
