Remove the 9/10th for gas prices
You can't change it and it just makes reading the actual price harder.
For example, this is a lot harder to compare and update:
3.199 3.299 3.399
than this:
3.19 3.29 3.39
At the very least, de-emphasize the fractional "9" by pulling it out of the edit box and/or making the text color light gray.

I have to disagree. It is a mistake to assume that all gas prices end in 9/10. Gas in Canada is sold not in dollars, but in cents. Using the example above, it would be listed at 319.9 I am often finding gas with prices ending in .4, .5, even .0. I cannot update that third decimal point because it is fixed at .9. If gas is priced at 3.200, my option is to enter it as $3.209 or 3.199. I have witnessed long lineups at competing pumps where one station is charging 3/10 of a cent less!
