Crossing major intersections
Los Angeles - When crossing major streets such as Sunset Blvd, Wilshire Blvd or La Cienega Blvd, please guide us to an intersection protected by a traffic signal. While the smaller streets are great for avoiding traffic, once we reach a major thoroughfare, we simply can't get across without a green light! Thanks, Waze!

There are routes I have no issue taking during daylight hours, but that I'd be afraid to traverse after sunset. It would be terrific to be able to set the client to avoid those if I wouldn't complete the route before sunset. I do this proactively now, but because the client keeps trying to divert me to the faster back roads route, it doesn't, for example, route me around freeway accidents. Thank you!

I live in Tampa Florida and there are several intersections that do not have traffic lights. I drive for Uber/Lyft and would love to have the option off adding a route that would only take me through protected traffic light intersections. Just like the option we have of taking toll roads or not. Currently when i select a route I may not know/recall if a street coming up is going to have a controlled light . Very unnerving to get to a intersection where i have to cross with no traffic lights given the amount off the traffic flow. I have to wait and hope people will stop long enough to allow me through and even then i am praying that the traffic on the far side of the road realizes that the traffic next to them has slowed/stopped to allow me across. I've seen so many accidents where the individual wa making his way across only to be hit by a car in the far lane that did not notice the gap to allow the car to pass until it was too late to stop.

In order to help prevent car accidents my suggestion is to add a list of highly dangerous intersection, what we call as 'Red Intersections' into the app so whenever we come close to those intersections we will be alarmed or asked for new rout.

They have added a feature titled "Reduce difficult intersections". I was so happy when I saw that because Waze is in the habit of putting me in the TERRIBLY DANGEROUS position of either turning left or crossing major streets at rush hour. Unfortunately, Waze continues with the same BAD HABIT. I haven't seen any improvement. Why not add a selection that says NEVER force me into a "difficult [DANGEROUS] intersection".

Yes, I had the same idea when I was stopped at Sunset Blvd trying to turn left without a traffic light. If I was smarter or knew how to code, I'd make an app that did this. When there's lots of traffic, many people prefer to make lefts at these intersections. Thanks. Or, you're welcome!

I would like view the route safety before start navigation. Many times I was following a route that could be really dangerous.
I suggest a rank system where users can score navigation safety. According with the intersection of the low safety scores your algorithms start to alert users about that route and giving them another options. -

100% agree - would love to have an option to "avoid crossing major streets without a traffic signal".

I think it might be good to have a way to mark dangerous curves or intersections. I live on a "dead-man's curve" where we routinely have accidents when it is wet or icy or on holidays when people drink & drive. I think people might be interested in knowing to be more alert in certain areas.
