Can't wait to see this feature

Add that train is at standstill or is moving and which direction and reroute if possible.

As soon as I plug my phone in, Android auto opens and Waze just shows a select destination screen. I. Do. Not. Want. It. I prefer Waze on my phone so that I can see my radio info on my vehicle screen but there is no way to do it now. Did you guys do this intentionally or is it a bug? If it's intentional, please make it possible to switch back and if it's a bug, please fix it.

Need to add a button to report when trains are crossing. Waze send me on routes with trains and then find myself stuck behind a train

I live in an area where there’s a lot of train tracks that are constantly blocking roads. I wanted to suggest a feature that would help countless people.

Currently, when going over a train track, Waze alerts you by a small chime, but doesn’t tell you if there’s a train or not. If there was a quick pop up that asked “is a train there?” And if you press “yes,” then it temporarily acts as a closed road and reroutes traffic to an alternative route. This could be as temporary as a few minutes or until someone else clicks “no.”

I feel this suggestion would help countless people and would help traffic from backing up at closed railroads in order to know which roads to avoid. Where I’m at trains can block roads for hours and it can add up to 15-20 minutes to a trip it you have to turn around and go another route.

It would be nice to have a way to report when a train is crossing; it could help plan a different route.

Can we get a user interface for railroad crossing in use or train stopped? I imagine after a few months a possible train schedule would emerge and at least a train delay probability could pop up for the commute.

In traffic, can we report trains moving at crossings? Crossings noted in map. Live near a port and trains can really impede traffic. Would be very helpful to know where trains are and when they were reported. Sometimes they stop completely. And some times they move backwards ☹️😜

If there is a train on the tracks, it would be nice to be able to alert its status for others:

No Train
Train Direction (Left or Right)
Stalled/Sitting Train

Having this information, Waze could navigate a driver a different route. If the train traveling left or right it could suggest an earlier/later turn or possibly a direction with an underpass that bypasses the train.

We really need a "train is stopped on the tracks blocking the road" option. Are y'all still working on that? Our community struggles with this issue when the train can be there for an hour at a time. If we knew prior to leaving the house, we could take an alternative route.

A button to alert drivers that the train is running. We have a train in Madison, AL that runs 50 times a day. You never know when its running, it's completely random. And they refuse to release a schedule. We'd very much like to report when its running so that we can navigate around it. It takes anywhere from 5 mins to 2 hours.

Even if not synched up to that GPS system, being able to report an active railroad crossing at all would be a huge help. It's basically a road closure, and one that could be avoided if able to be reported.

It's 2023 and I'd still like to see this feature added.

Can you add an interactive feature that if you are stopped at railroad crossing you can report a slow moving or stopped train.

In recognition of National Rail Safety Week Sept 18-24 - please include in Waze a notification when driver is approaching Railroad Crossing. Not all railroad at grade crossings have crossing gates & flashing signal lights. Each year every 3 hours in the United States a person or vehicle is hit by a train. Please include this alert on your map navigation system so that drivers will stop, look, and listen at all railroad crossings before driving over the track crossing.

Alert settings for level crossings are there, but they no longer work in Waze!
