Hi. Am trying to find the Groups feature but am unable to. I wish to create a group for a car club. Can anyone assist please?

It would be nice to be able to create personal Teams or Groups where you can invite your friends and have your own badge.
As we know, Waze is also based on a "game" system as well as a navigator. It would be great to be able to get these functions back!

Need to add more groups to join. Currently I only have weather channel groups which I find weird. Should be able to create groups of local areas. Or even have waters create their own groups obviously with editors permission so it isn’t inappropriate. Groups from the same areas can compete for extra Waze points or special badges/moods.

EG: create a team (ABS Cheadle) as are team/group, and all our drivers can then linking to that

Hi I have an idea where companies could create a group or team link where they can link their drivers in this team and notify each other when posting traffic accidents etc Plus be able to track their vehicles with the app. 😊 I work for group Alliance automotive abs I am one of the drivers and some of our other drivers use the app it would be nice if you could have a group link for the companies to track their drivers and notify each other of accident traffic etc under a link as team group or driver group for that company and other companies can do the same for themselves

Would be great for Travel to have a Folder/Group that you can save all the address that you will use for this trip like Hotel/Food/Air Port so you don't have to keep looking for them and can program them all before the trip. Not fill my Fav.

Hi I am with a car club in Charleston South Carolina. We love to drive like many other car enthusiasts, and we drive everywhere we can. I have written emails to possibly the wrong support team in WAZE suggesting this idea. My responses seem to be overlooked or ignored. I get the email that says "A team member is currently reviewing your application and will be in touch shortly." Then nothing after. It could be my fault because I was trying to reach the wrong department.

Here is my idea:

Allow for a free way for users to create Teams. For example, if WAZE allowed a car club to create a group, where members can use the said club's logo it would be completely beneficial to WAZE, the using Car Club, and other WAZE users on the road.

How it would help WAZE:
WAZE would gain more users and more consistency with current users.
Since there would be more users, WAZE would be able to share and broadcast more accurate data from drivers using on the road.

How would it help the using Car Club:
Their club logo would be seen by other drivers on the road, giving more exposure for the club.
If other drivers are able to see the clubs members by club logo on the WAZE map, then can see that a group of people may be together allowing them to stay together if possible during that time.
If a member falls behind during a drive, the member can follow the path of the group and possibly catch up in a reasonable time without panicking causing a possible accident, or getting lost.
Members of the car club can spot other members of the club and safely help if assistance is required and able.

How would it help other WAZE users:
Other WAZE users would benefit from this idea because car people love to drive and they are more inclined to report traffic or road hazards in hopes to help other motorists and other members on the road.

All would help all motorists and keep the roads even safer since more people would use WAZE and be more active about it.

Car clubs such as mine would be willing to create a live map of our location to show traffic for visitors on our website or share the location of the club for members that cannot make it at that particular time to the said event.

I would be happy to talk more about these ideas if the WAZE administration is interested.

for the life of me I cannot find instructions on how to join the 19 Action News group. This is the local news channel that advertises Waze but the only thing even close to showing how to do this points to joining a development team.. How is it done???/

Totally agree. Groups were great for specific commutes to share traffic information etc.

From the start there was "Waze Groups", where you could create a group of buddies and share information and position with.
That was cool.
Then Waze "replaced" Groups with "Teams" and made some freakin' sports team fan group kind of mess of it.
That was ridiculous.

I want to make my own group where i can manually add who i want. to create and define my group. thanks.

I second on the idea.

Please improve the feauture of groups on Waze. Give us the option to create our closed group to interact and report only members that you wanted it. Choosing from Facebook friends or adding the nickname from the Wazer you want to allow or add it.
And if you already created it you should have the option to manage the privacy feauture of it.

Nation Wide Groups. You should be able to join a group regardless of your location. I would have thought one of the most common uses for the Group function would be car clubs, yet it doesn't work as you can only join if all your members are within 62miles! Very unlikely. I've seen this issue raised a number of times on different car clubs
