adding "I'm a motorcyclist" mode
adding "I'm a motorcyclist" mode in the settings for motorcyclist to choose and it will let us choose roads even if they have traffic jams and alart from roads that are dangerous

This is really good, in countries that motorcyclist do lane splitting, we don't care if that road have traffic jams, and the app shouldn't try to choose a free, less traffic jams road.

this is of the essence for the usability of this app in countries where lane splitting is legal (e.g. anywhere but USA/Canada).
having a dirt road / dirty asphalt warning would be a saviour when planning a motorbike trip, too. -

Another motorcyclist here. There are several items that would be most helpful to us on two wheels: Lane guidance, advance weather forecasts, conditions affecting visibility, road surface irregularities like potholes gravel or the mess left after an accident. I also agree with the other comments here that motoryclist that are permitted to ride between autos can corrupt the data for other Wazers . Many thanks for your consideration.

California motorcyclist here! Lane splitting/filtering all the time. Having a "motorcycle mode" would be ideal for not corrupting car/truck/SUV speed data, but I'm using it to spot cops on the road, so I don't plan to turn it off when riding.
Also, does anyone else have issues where the bumpy ride causes the display to go upside-down??? Very annoying....

Same here, I often ride on my motorcycle and thus sending wrong traffic data. Not to mention climbing mountain passes. :)
If there would be an option to choose motorcycle as vehicle, such itineraries could be treated differently. -

I use Waze on my motorcycle all the time. I wish there was a way to let Waze know I can use the carpool/HOV lanes. This should be automatic in "motorcycle mode" but eventually have a "number of passengers" input so waze can know if car drivers can use HOV-2 or HOV-3 lanes.

Time calculations aside, motorcyclists have a variety of unique issues when it comes to GPS / Navigation apps.
Battery usage, visibility of map, ease of use while wearing gloves, Bluetooth voice responsiveness, etc.
Very early and specific warnings about road conditions is absolutely critical! An annoyance in a car, like a rock on the road, or traffic at a standstill ahead, can literally be a killer to a motorcyclist.

Most people do not know the legal aspects of lane splitting, but comment and react purely on personal opinion or emotion...

I am sure that I am corrupting Waze data when I am able to go past vehicles standing still in high traffic areas om my motorbike! A way to identify oneself as a motorbike rider may be a good idea

Howdy Wazers, To me MC-mode would be essential. It would allow for sharing information about traffic jams where motorcycling still is possible, dangers such as hidden obstacles, bad and tricky bits of road and more importantly where all the good riding is at.

In many places it is illegal to drive between lanes through traffic, and also agitates many drivers. I saw on the news just last week a driver went to get in another lane, while a motorcycle was coming in between lanes and the motorcyclist hit the car and went flying. It would be very hard for Waze to determine where it is legal/illegal to do so.

Yep ideal feature, especially if it just reduced the impact of traffic on the routing calculation

Greetings Waze community,
As I've read in this forum, and to satisfy my curiosity, it seems that there are no modes to explicitly tell Waze whether one is driving a car or a motorcycle. It has been stated before that this is particularly problematic since many countries allow lane splitting for motorcycles, which often results in particularly shorter commute times than what Waze calculates.
While many of us may not care about a 100% accurate ETA (since the most likely ETA is going to be shorter than what Waze states), it is very important to note that whenever a motorcyclist utilizes Waze for traffic and routing and performs lane splitting, thus reducing the commute time through highly congested routes, will render the average commute time also shorter for every other driver, thus effectively screwing up ETAs and congestion reports for everyone else.
This results in a very problematic situation for an app whose main purpose is to route and provide accurate arrival times for users.
It would be interesting to get a response from app development on this matter. It sounds like it's time to get some way to differentiate and stop messing up standard car traffic reports.
Cheers

I wanted to suggest this because here in CA we can lane split so backed up traffic has a limited affect on us motorcyclists. It would be awesome to see Waze take that into consideration if I choose that option
