I would like to propose two purely visual UI improvements for Waze on Apple CarPlay, specifically designed for drivers who prefer on-screen cues over voice alerts:
- Real-time cross-street labels on the map: Please add a feature or setting to display the names of upcoming cross-streets or major intersecting roads directly on the CarPlay map layout, rather than only showing the name of the next turn. Waze waits for confirmation to start drive when drive started with Siri
I've always initiated a drive using Siri on my iPhone 16 Pro. For example, I would say "Siri, Drive Home". And it would start the route automatically. However lately, I've noticed a dialog box pops up with a GO NOW button that waits for me to press it. It does not automatically start after a short period of time. I am driving a Mazda CX-5 and this is rather annoying. The touch screen disables when I drive. And I have to fiddle around with the switch to move to the GO NOW button to select it. Mazda HUD - Active Driving Display
Feature request: Waze navigation directions on Mazda Active Driving Display via Apple CarPlay
I own a 2025 Mazda CX-5 Signature equipped with Mazda’s Active Driving Display (HUD). When using Waze through Apple CarPlay, navigation directions are displayed on the main infotainment screen but are not shown on the vehicle’s HUD.
Apple Maps and Google Maps are able to provide navigation information to compatible vehicle displays through CarPlay. I would like to request that Waze implement support for sending turn-by-turn navigation metadata to compatible HUDs and instrument clusters through Apple CarPlay.

Report alerts on split screen - Apple CarPlay
I'm using Waze on a daily basis for many years and recently found out, that there are differences between its usability on android auto and apple CarPlay while using Waze on split screen which is very common on modern huge car displays.
While you can report things (traffic yams, dangers, alerts, and so on) when using Waze via split screen on android auto, you can't do that on split screen mode on apple CarPlay.
Please implement this feature in apple CarPlay too!!

Augmenter grandement la taille des caractères vitesse et panneaux et alertes

La taille des caractères et des panneaux à agrandir. Les affichages sont trop petit sur les écrans et cela quelque soit la taille y compris gps moto et les téléphones.
Voir une alerte accident ou vitesse pose problème et plus encore sur un téléphone ou un gps moto. Même les panneaux sont beaucoup trop petit.
A partir de 40 ans la vue ne fait que baisser à vous d’adapter l’ergonomie visuelle de votre super application. Multiplier au moins par 4 la taille des caractères de la vitesse et des alertes serait raisonnable.

FIX the CarPlay map disappearing after driving for a few minutes
First off, it's infuriating that PROBLEMS can't be reported on the Support page.
The CarPlay map disappears after a few minutes of driving. All the control buttons remain, but the moving map is just a white field. This is a failure that makes Waze absolutely useless on CarPlay. Serious CarPlay Bug – White Screen When Selecting Alternate Routes
Hello Waze Support,
There is a serious and long-standing bug in Waze on Apple CarPlay that makes alternate routes completely unusable.
Every time I select an alternate route during navigation, the entire Waze screen turns white. Once this happens, the app becomes completely stuck and cannot be recovered from within CarPlay. The only way to get Waze working again is to disconnect the phone from CarPlay and reconnect it.
This issue occurs consistently and is fully reproducible. It is not an occasional glitch—it happens whenever an alternate route is selected.

Average speed zone - keep indicator on screen in car play
If we can’t have the calculation of our average speed at least keep an icon on screen in car play. If we miss the notification we entered an average speed zone we may not realise we are in one.

Waze on CarPlay not re-rendering the map when screen size changes
It's started recently, I drive Acura RDX 2024, its screen is split into 2 parts, the main screen part and the additional information part. The CarPlay has a button that allows to toggle the CarPlay to be shown only on the main part, or full screen on both parts.
After the tapping the toggle button the CarPlay display size changes and the map disappears and not re-rendering again until switched to another app and then back to Waze.2 votes -

Increase the map speedometer when using Apple Carplay after iOS26 upgrade.
After the iOS26 update when using the Apple Carplay the speedometer was changed to a tinny version, very hard to see when driving. The overall experience with the carplay was better, the new carplay itself changed to a better resolution that fits better the 10inch display of my car, the only exception is the small speedometer used by Waze. Please, add an option that allow the user to configure the size of the speedometer when using Carplay.

Show directions in vehicle Dashboard
Recently Google Maps had an update so the turn to turn directions and are now shown in Ford Sync 4 vehicle dashboard. Apple Maps also has this feature for years. Can Waze also bring this functionality helping to see in the dash or head up display so we can keep more focused on the road? It would be fantastic if Waze can be on the same level as other navigation apps.

Please make voice reporting optional in CarPlay. I’m seeing significantly less reporting since this feature was installed. Plus, I get an error every time press the button and it won’t let me use voice if I wanted to.

Reporting Turns of Apple Music in CarPlay
Since the "Talk to Report" feature was introduced for user reporting of road hazards etc, as soon as I touch the Report button Music stops and Waze chimes in. This works, but the music won't turn back on. This regardless of the fact that "Talk to Report" is turned off in settings on the iOS App. So far the only cure for Music is to reset the phone (and never report again)! This is a shame, as I like to be part of the community, but the current price is too high.

L’affichage de la vitesse locale est vraiment trop petit, presque illisible sur mon écran sur le tableau de bord. Ce paramètre est essentiel pour moi puisque l’affichage des vitesses limites sur la route est presque inexistant vu la distance exagérée entre deux panneaux. Je constate fréquemment que je ne sais plus à un moment donné quelle est la vitesse réglementaire actuelle. On peut être facilement en infraction non souhaitée.
