For the Love of Waze: A Real Driver's Plea to Stop the Trolls
I'm writing to you as someone who truly loves what Waze is supposed to be: a community of drivers helping each other out. But that spirit is dying, and it's because you're letting a handful of trolls ruin it for everyone else.
We've all seen it: phantom police cars that vanish into thin air, imaginary traffic jams on empty roads, and the completely absurd "icy road" warnings during a summer heatwave. It’s gone from being a funny quirk to a serious problem. It’s not just annoying anymore; it’s making us lose trust in the app we once relied on.
We,…

Waze is allowing police to clear locations reported
Waze is allowing police to clear locations reported and waze is not allowing us to re add camera locations after police clear locations while police and cameras are still in those locations

Closure sign colouring.
Could you possibly change the background of the "closure" sign? Its currently red on red which makes it a little difficult to see (even more so if you are colourblind).

Common hotspots for speed camera vans/ speed traps
To have common hotspots for speed vans or speed traps added to the map. This would allow users to be aware of common spots for speed camera vans. Yes shouls be doing the speed limit but at the same time we all go over from time to time especially areas we may not no or the change speed limits.

Disable automatic Update Request route reporting on higher level roads.
Under certain circumstances, Waze seems to automatically submit automatic reports - but there seem to be too many of them (big time cost for editors that process and respond to URs following up for feedback, generally no response from the "reporter" because they didn't report anything themselves).
This specific request is to disable "Incorrect route", "Incorrect turn" or other similar problems on higher-level divided roads (Motorway, Major Highway, Minor Highway). When we have roadworks, the roads authority will often set up contraflow lanes on the opposing direction's roadway. This seems to produce numerous automated reports that have no value (because…

Potential Mobile Speed Trap Location Alert
There are many locations where Police Camera vans stay. These are often the same location, and often around bends so its too late once they see you. You should add to the map, just like with speed cameras, potential mobile speed trap. This would allow everyone to be alert at all times, then if the vans are there, Wazers can further report Police just as usual. This would prevent speeding earlier on rather than when someone finally reports the presence of police. For example, this could be done by adding a new icon e.g. a van symbol, with an audio…

Add the time when reports are made
When was the report made? 2 minutes ago? 20 minutes ago? An hour ago? Be nice to have the time stamp.

Reports ahead
It will be great if the user can choose the alerts types in "Reports ahead" tab. Even if turned off in Reports, they are still shown in the list. For example I'm only interested in police and speed cameras reports ahead. Instead I see countless "Speed limit" , "Dummy camera" , "Road bump" in X kilometers.

Police Speed Check instead of Police
80% of my “Police” alerts that pop up are for people that have been pulled over, which is technically “Vehicle on Shoulder”. I end up reporting “not there” and then change it to Vehicle on Shoulder. I suggest changing Police and Police (Hidden) to Police Speed Check. This will eliminate the confusion of a speed check vs a car on the shoulder.

Add > Hazard > On road > Vehicle Stopped/Broken down
Knowing if a vehicle is stopped on the road or on the shoulder is critical. This information could be life-saving. We recommend updating your navigation app to include this feature.

Car stopped ON road ie: transport unloading new cars
In Ontario we have frequent stopped vehicles in the centre turning lanes of roadways. They stop to unload new vehicles for car dealerships. Would like an option to report car/vehicle stopped ON the roadway, separate from the “car on shoulder” option

Being able to pinpoint the exact location of a cop, wreck or other map issue
I think Wazer should be able to pinpoint the exact location of a cop, wreck or etc. I know that in the state that I live in, if a cop sees you on the phone, they’re going to pull you over and give you a ticket. So therefore, I can only report a cop after I have already passed them, which leads to an incorrect location of where the cop actually is.

Road Humps, not bumps.
Waze UK calls them Bumps, but they should be called Humps.
Hump is a noun, they are hump shaped, like a humped-back bridge.
Bump is a verb, you can bump into a door, a car can bump into post.3 votes -
