I would like waze to inform me when the speed limit changes.
When traveling on local roads, the speed can change from 55 to 35 and driver doesn't realize that the speed changed as the local road doesn't indicate that it is a small town. Some sort of indicator that the speed limit changed would be helpful.

CarPlay UI improvements: Cross-street names on map and proactive visual alternate routes
I would like to propose two purely visual UI improvements for Waze on Apple CarPlay, specifically designed for drivers who prefer on-screen cues over voice alerts:
- Real-time cross-street labels on the map: Please add a feature or setting to display the names of upcoming cross-streets or major intersecting roads directly on the CarPlay map layout, rather than only showing the name of the next turn. This helps drivers maintain spatial awareness and quickly recognize familiar local alternative routes via visual landmarks.
- Automatic HUD/Map indicators for alternate routes and faster recalculation: Finding alternate routes in CarPlay currently requires manual taps through menus, which causes driving distractions and experiences a slow recalculation lag. Waze should automatically draw faint gray/transparent alternative path lines directly on the map when approaching major avenues or heavy traffic zones (e.g., highlighting options that avoid stoplights or dense pedestrian crossings). If a driver decides to take one of these visual shortcuts on the fly, the app should snap and recalculate instantly without frozen screens or delays.

Option to remove "Work" button
Like many others who work from home, are retired, or aren't working for other reasons, I don't have a work address that I navigate to. Please add the option to remove the "Work" button from the Android app UI, so it stops using valuable screen space. The two spots where it's most annoying are the "Work" Saved Places button and the "Work: Set once and go" listing at the top of the search screen.

It seems like a button is needed to indicate a pause so we can get fuel, get food, or brief detour without a lot of static from the mapping
This may have been asked and answered before, sorry. On every trip when I pull off to exit to a fuel station or food stop I get so much rerouting instructions trying to get me back on the road. It seems like a button is needed to indicate a pause so we can get fuel, get food, or brief detour without a lot of static from the mapping and voice instructions. Why is there no native way to easily indicate I am having a brief stop ALONG my route, NEARBY, that sometimes crosses a road or bridge out of the planned route. An easy button is needed to calm the system from going into massive REROUTE when I just need to stop at BUC-EES for some fuel and snacks. Is that something we have that we cannot see on the map? Can someone make that happen?

Map view on dash screen
When driving my 2026 Chevy Equinox there’s a capability to look at the map directly infront of the screen behind the wheel. When you do this the little box notification of when to turn is directly in the middle of the map so if you are trying to look at what the intersection looks like it’s completely blocking the incoming intersection which makes it difficult because sometimes the visualization of the intersection or ramps to the highway is helpful and necessary. Can the little notification box be moved where it is out of the way of the incoming streets?

change shape or proximity of the alert pop up choices to make it easier to hit with a finger
Concerning the pop-up's for alerts: for example when one comes up for a car on the shoulder. The two choices are imprinted on two horizontal bars that are very close together. I find that sometimes although my finger is going to "still there" because the choices are horizontal bars and close together, a small deviation in the car caused me to miss and hit " not there". A suggestion therefore - why not have the choices a different shape, i.e. circular, and separated in a way that mitigates this issue ? I like this app by the way.

Average-speed zone UI and stationary camera voice alert
In landscape mode the vertical green bar for distance to an average-speed zone disappears. Keep it visible in landscape.
Show time of entry into an average-speed zone and the earliest allowed exit time, so the driver can judge speed to the exit.
Add a short voice alert when approaching a stationary speed camera. There is none today.
Thanks

Audible Police Alerts
I would love for WAZE to audibly alert me to a police sighting posted for the opposite direction I am driving. Right now, it only alerts me (audibly) if the police post is on my side of the road. Since I travel on 2-lane roads a lot, it would help if I could be (audibly) alerted to a police post on either side of the road, since most police can easily stop a car going either direction. The audible could say "Police ahead on the left" or "Police ahead on the right."

Spedoometer
Good evening.
I would like to mention that, as many other
Waze users have noted, the speedometer-particularly on the car's display-is small and inconvenient to read quickly.
Therefore, I would like to suggest improving this aspect.
Sincerely,

Headlight reminder on sunset
In Brazil, drivers must turn on their headlights between sunset and sunrise (Brazilian Traffic Code, Article 40, I, a, and Annex I).
When th theme is set to Auto, Waze automatically switches to dark mode at sunset, so we know it knows the sun's schedule for the driver's location.
Waze already sends a reminder to turn on headlights on specific road segments that require them.
I suggest that Waze also remind drivers to turn on their headlights at sunset. Drivers should have the option to turn this notification off in the Waze settings.

CDL Subscription
Create a version for truck drivers, even if it has to be subscription based due to cost to set up. I know I would gladly pay $3 a month to have access to roads that do not allow trucks or tractor trailers, and I'm sure other truck drivers would as well.

Add a Quick Emergency Search Icon for Nearby Hospitals and Defibrillators (AED)
The Idea:I would like to suggest adding a dedicated, prominent "Emergency Medical" icon on the main navigation screen or within the quick search menu. Tapping this icon would instantly display the fastest routes to the nearest Emergency Rooms (Hospitals) and public Defibrillators (AED locations) relative to the driver's current position, without needing to type anything. Why it's important:During a medical emergency while driving (e.g., a passenger experiencing sudden cardiac arrest or severe trauma), every single second counts.Drivers under extreme stress often struggle to type text or search through regular category menus.Quick access to a public defibrillator (AED) can save lives before medical services arrive.Precedent exists: Waze has already successfully implemented a similar crisis-response feature by adding a dedicated search icon for public bomb shelters. Expanding this framework to include medical emergencies is a natural and highly impactful next step for community safety. How it should work:A small, recognizable emergency icon (such as a medical shield or a heart-AED symbol) could be placed alongside or in the same manner as the current Shelter Search Icon.Clicking it would bypass the standard search keyboard and immediately show a split list or map pins of:Nearest Hospitals with Emergency Departments.Nearest publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs).The user can start navigating with a single tap.

Waze waits for confirmation to start drive when drive started with Siri
I've always initiated a drive using Siri on my iPhone 16 Pro. For example, I would say "Siri, Drive Home". And it would start the route automatically. However lately, I've noticed a dialog box pops up with a GO NOW button that waits for me to press it. It does not automatically start after a short period of time. I am driving a Mazda CX-5 and this is rather annoying. The touch screen disables when I drive. And I have to fiddle around with the switch to move to the GO NOW button to select it. Don't you think this is a safety issue??? Please put it back to what it was.

Partner Hub Alerts with road segments included
Currently, Waze alerts are primarily point-based, which limits the ability to effectively communicate longer-stretching road hazards, such as extended areas of damaged pavement, roadworks, or adverse weather conditions across multiple segments.
I propose introducing an enhanced feature within the Waze Partner Hub that allows partners and authorized editors to define specific, continuous road segments (single or multiple) where an alert remains persistently active from start to finish.
To ensure optimal user experience and prevent user interface clutter, this feature should incorporate a smart priority rotation system. The extended segment alert would remain visible to drivers for the entire duration of the chosen route segments. If a localized, immediate hazard occurs along that same stretch, such as a stopped vehicle reported by another user requiring a confirmation prompt, the extended segment alert would temporarily hide. This allows the driver to safely interact with the immediate safety prompt. Once the localized interaction is resolved, the primary continuous segment alert would automatically reappear.
This enhancement would significantly improve safety and clarity for drivers on long stretches of road hazards while giving road authorities more precise control through the Partner Hub.

Bring back halo brute chieftain
Bring back the brute Chieftain from the Halo franchise. “Our swords are sharp and our fangs are ready to taste battle… are yours” and “another chapter of our great story written… until next time” were some of his catch phrases. Feature request: Audio alerts for speed cameras when screen is locked and regardless of speed
Hello Waze Team,
I’m writing to suggest a feature that would significantly improve safety and usability for motorcyclists using your new Moto Mode.
The problem:
When riding a motorcycle, the phone is often in my pocket or mounted with the screen off to save battery. Currently, Waze speed camera alerts are only audible if the driver exceeds the speed limit . If I'm riding within the limit, the alert is only visual, and with the screen locked or off, I receive no warning at all.
The request:
Please add an optional setting (in Settings > Alerts & reports > Speed cameras) that allows users to always receive audible speed camera alerts, regardless of their speed and even when the device is locked/screen is off.
Why this is important:
- Motorcyclist safety: An audible alert allows the rider to know a camera is ahead without taking their eyes off the road to check the screen. This is critical on a motorcycle where visual attention must remain on traffic.
- Consistency with Moto Mode: This feature aligns perfectly with the recent Moto Mode improvements, which already focus on anticipating road hazards (potholes, speed bumps) to enhance rider safety. Speed cameras are another hazard that riders need to know about proactively.
- Better user experience: It would allow riders to run Waze in the background with the screen off (e.g., in a pocket) knowing they'll receive all relevant alerts, regardless of their current speed.
Thank you for considering this request. I believe it would be a valuable addition for the motorcycling community.
Best regards,

Driver-reported street parking spot availability
Hello Waze Team,I would like to suggest a new feature that allows drivers to report when they are leaving a street parking space. How it works:When a driver stops navigating or starts their car, Waze can show a quick pop-up asking: "Are you leaving your parking spot?"If the user selects "Yes", Waze can pin a temporary green icon on the map to inform nearby drivers that a space is becoming vacant. This report would automatically disappear after a few minutes to ensure the data remains fresh and accurate. This feature would save drivers significant time, reduce traffic congestion in busy urban areas, and lower emissions caused by driving around blocks looking for parking.Thank you for considering this idea!
