Traumatic
Possibly new category of report. "Traumatic" title proceeding current and or new reportable events to alert drivers who may have younger children or sensitive occupants in their vehicles of situations such as accidents or struck wildlife that may be extremely visible to other passing motorists, so the driver can choose to detour and avoid exposure of such traumatic instances to their passengers or their selves.

Minimum Up Time of Cop Notifications
Just encountered this today, November 26, 2024, in South Carolina on I95 going South.
Cops are able to remove themselves from the map within three minutes of posting since they can create multiple accounts.
Since anyone is allowed to remove or say that the cop is “not there,” a new report should have a minimum uptime of 30 minutes after the initial report to let votes rack up confirming the cop is there.
Being deleted after I report it after 3 minutes is insane and prevents the whole purpose of this app.
Let’s do better. Let’s be better.

Pre-Planned Road Closure (Confirm Road Closure or Report a closure as not there)
Although there are posted times for freeway ramp closures, I think someway of also reporting a closure that is not actually there, or even confirming a closure. Through my personal experience this would be super helpful as the exits around my exits add an additional 15-20 minutes to my drive back home. But many times when Waze tells me my exit is closed, but its actually open which can get frustrating.

Screen ui
Instead of tiny buttons to confirm or deny, use a half screen red, half screen green transparent overlay making it possible to answer the alert without looking. It would increase usage and safety to this system.

Rotational speed camera
Where I am we have permanent speed camera emplacements, but only 2 cameras that are rotated throughout these emplacements. It would be nice to be able to alert wazers to the presence of these, as Waze's current policy is to not allow temporary cameras to be mapped.

Adicionar a opção de "remover alerta" quando clica no balão de alerta no mapa... atualmente só é possível indicar que o alerta não existe quando o próprio waze mostra a notificação

Report Blocked Lane by Voice
It would be an amazing addition to be able to say "Hey Google, Report Left/Center/Right Lane Blocked" rather than needing to use the on-screen controls as it poses a safety hazard.
I feel as if that would entice users to use the feature more; it's a very beneficial tool to have, allowing you to prepare for the lane chance before it's too late.
That may also help with traffic congestion when everyone is trying to merge into a single lane on interstates.2 votes -
Voice activated hazard reporting
Hi,
I would like to suggest getting,
1. AI technology for self learning and improving maps as in some instances wazers know better routes to that of the waze map.
2. Voice activated controls in reporting hazards - in the UK unfortunately even tapping the phone while driving can lead to prosecution and driving bans. If somehow, waze can be voice activated when reporting hazards or police presence, etc. For example we say, "Hey Google" to activate and request Google assistance.
In waze we already can voice activate destinations through Google assistance.
My point is to avoid touching the phone…2 votes -
Accident Alert
Waze provides alternate routes when approaching an accident which is really helpful. My suggestion is that WAZE “announce”…. ACCIDENT AHEAD, ALTERNATE ROUTE PROVIDED”….this allows us to know why the alternate is being provided. Sometimes we are on the road for long times and get tired. Thank yo.

Fixing a mistake when creating a report
Sometimes, as I try to set up a report, I click the wrong button, and there’s no way to go back to correct the error. If you close out, you lose the chance to report the issue at the point at which it’s happening. This wasn’t always a problem, but an update made this an issue.

Lombas
Olá Waze, tendo em atenção a segurança rodoviária, e como exemplo as lombas de calmia de trânsito na via pública, pelas dimensões das mesmas e que muitas vezes não visiveis pelos condutores ou estão mal identificadas, proponho a ideia de uma opção para poder-se identificar os locais das lombas que podem representar mais perigo para os condutores, tal como pode-se identificar os perigos, como boraco na estrada ou passagem de nível, visto que são obstáculos permanentes.

Under fire area and relevant closures in Google Maps are missing in Waze
A severe fire was ongoing the previous weeks near our capital city in Greece, covering a vast area. While Google Maps is aware of the area that is under fire and has imposed relevant closures, I notice that in Waze, there are no closures in the same area at all.
I believe that it is very important for Waze to be able to pull such data from Google Maps in case of emergencies like fires, so it can protect and inform intime the drivers.

Less restrictions for map editors
It is absolutely insane that map editors still have to ask the reporter for the exact street and cross street to complete edit requests and map updates! I have been a member since 2009 and I still can not ever remember specifics because I have a life outside of making Waze reports and notations. Also, the “navigation history” which map editors refer you to, does not have every turn. Please fix this so that users will want to report more instead of just getting frustrated.

Waze data as legal evidence
It is frustrating when vehicles are being operated unsafely and there doesn't happen to be a police officer to witness. Yesterday as I was driving down a busy NY highway 4 motorcyclists were doing wheelies, tailgating cars and weaving in and out of traffic. In the absence of a police witness perhaps a certain number of hazard reports from Wazers, including offender's license plate numbers, might be sufficient evidence for law enforcement to pursue charges against drivers creating hazardous conditions. Has anyone considered this? Thank you.

Report response tap areas instead of buttons
I think the buttons to confirm or deny warnings (like roadworks, police or object on road) are too small. On bumpy roads, it’s easy to mistap.
Tip for Improvement:
Consider replacing the small buttons with larger, semi-transparent tap areas on the screen. For example, use the quarter bottom left of the screen for 'Yes' and bottom right quarter for 'No'. This would make it much easier to respond accurately while driving.2 votes -

Blocked lane with traffic lights
Basically in my country atleast. whenever theres a blocked lane on normal roads there is a heigh chance theres a traffic light controlling the flow of traffic. Would be nice to add that feature so there can be better calculations.

specify speed limit menu report
I think the app should have a quick menu for speed limit reports when clicking the speedometer or something. When the menu shows up it will have some specific value that the user can choose and the editor doesn't need to comment on the report ticket
