Indicate tunnels in the map
When work in progress associated with the vicinity of tunnels, a clear indication on the map of the tunnel precise location can help identifying if the danger is associated while exiting the tunnel or further away.
This make a huge difference in the attention and help ease the driving.6 votes -

Please add Japanese "Stop" signs and pedestrian crossings
In Japan, pedestrians are required to stop at places where there are stop signs and at crosswalks where there are pedestrians about to cross. In addition, pedestrians are required to slow down when crossing a crosswalk where it is unclear whether there are pedestrians about to cross. Violating these rules will result in police crackdowns and penalties such as fines being imposed on drivers. Currently, there are also "stop" cameras installed, but I understand that these are intended to draw attention to crackdown points. Instead, I would like to see signs and indications that there are crosswalks.

Please add sign icons for national and prefectural roads in Japan.
In Japan, there are road signs that show the numbers of national and prefectural roads. All major apps, including Google Maps, support this display, except for Waze, which does not support it.

"Announce Speed Drop" option
A new feature was rolled out recently that automatically announced speed limit changes if the difference in limits was significant. However, I have come across many cases where there's a fast speed limit change that occurs under the announcement threshold, or in cases where announcing the speed limit change would be unnecessary (i.e. turning onto a new street). Similar to how turn instructions are given a dropdown with "waze default," there should be an option to select whether or not a speed limit change is announced on a route. These options should be under the same set of menus for…

WME Editor Saved Config/Settings Profiles
Are there any plans to have a collection of user-defined editing profiles?
This would be similar to the concept of Saved Filters under Issues tab, albeit, in case of config, an editor could create multiple configs, which are basically a subset of options to show/hide various Map Layers.
These should then persist on the server, such that an editor can load them from anywhere on any machine.
The idea is that sometimes an editor may want to turn on/off a bunch of layers, depending on task at hand."

House numbers on unnamed streets
It is currently not possible to create house numbers on unnamed streets. Here in the Czech Republic it is VERY, VERY, VERY common to have unnamed streets in villages. We need to have this option to start any meaningful house number mapping in the region.

Suggest an Edit: Endpoint and junction nodes
New editors can add new roads, suggest changes to segment attributes, and add new geometry nodes for existing roads. But this isn't very useful without being able to:
- Suggest connecting a new or existing segment to an existing segment (making a new junction node)
- Suggest moving or otherwise editing an existing endpoint node
It would be great for Suggest an Edit to fully support editing road geometry, connecting segments, and editing junctions.

Camera Type: Yellow Box
There is locally to me a traffic enforcement camera that ensures a yellow box outside a fire station near a busy junction is kept clear. There is not currently a camera type that is applicable and can be added.

Provide ample time to make an exit if you have to make a choice of right or left exit
Avoid people having to miss their exit because you don’t provide enough time and/or lane guidance ahead of time. Was supposed to go left on an exit that had left/right option and Waze did not tell me ahead of time and almost missed their exit.

Add neighborhoods to places
Many cities have stores with many locations around the city. These can be hard to distinguish in Waze, since people might not be familiar with the specific street name, and some countries have many streets with no name or similar names. Just as places are assigned to cities, it should also be possible to assign them to a neighborhood (defined based on community guidelines), so it's easier to find and identify places.
A recent feature allows for neighborhoods from Google to appear in search results, but this request is to define and manage neighborhood areas directly in the WME, either…

Event Announcements
Currently, event announcements remain displayed even after the event has ended.
Unless they are deleted manually, they stay on the screen and make it difficult to view new announcements. Therefore, I would like to request the addition of a feature that automatically deletes event announcements once they have ended.

Allow segment suggestions on segments with permanent hazards
Well its not possible to suggest edits when a segment has hazards like speed bumps. Its anoying when we are changing smt like direction of an entire street and some of the segments have hazards.

Post-Trip Summary & Route Comparison
I would like to request a "Trip Summary" card that appears automatically upon reaching a destination. Currently, the navigation simply ends, and valuable driving data is lost.
Proposed Metrics to Display:
- Performance: Distance, Total Time, Avg/Max Speed.Efficiency: Estimated fuel/battery cost for the trip.
Traffic Insight: Moving time vs. Stopped time (idling/traffic).
Smart Comparison Feature: For frequent routes (specifically "Home" to "Work" and vice versa), the summary should include a comparison against the user's historical average.
Example: "You arrived 3 minutes faster than your average commute."
Benefit: This would help users analyze their driving habits, optimize their commute times,…

change/adapt default average speed assigned to a segment for itinerary calculation
Hello,
Using the script "road speed", I can see what are the average speed used for route calculation on every segment.
I'm working on the map in Rwanda, Africa. Here, the major/minor highway may sometime be unpaved road. On these road, the driving speed never exceed 20-30 kph. However, by default, the speed on these "major highway" segment asigned by waze is 60-80 kph, which induce huge difference in the ETA.
Of course, in cities or in the main roads where there is a lot of wazer traffic, this is automatically adapted thanks to the users. But in less populated…

Enter an area place with Wicket polygon
It is suggested to add a possibility to enter a polygon with Wicket format that will draw an area place according to that input (unsaved). It will be helpful for definition of an updated area for an AM.

Differentiate between area map comments and point comments
It would be great if it would be made possible to select to only see point map comments and/or area map comments.
Area map comments are quite intrusive, leading to a lot of editors switching off the comment layer. As a result they sometimes miss useful information and make unnecessary edits.
If you can choose to only see one type of comment, that would be very helpful.

Routes in a Junction Box should have different gradients of colors
When selecting a segment entering a Junction Box all possible routes are shown with a green color when the route is valid and red when it is invalid/forbidden. These routes can be mixed and sharing the same segment. To see which segments belong to specific routes the editor must hover the mouse pointer to the exiting arrow. The idea here is to be able to visualize without doubt each route (for instance, when sharing the JB screenshot)

Exit numbers on freeways that change the voice instruction
In some countries, including here in Australia, freeway exits often have exit numbers on the signs. Currently, we include these in the ramp segment's name. This means that, for example, a voice instruction may sound like this:
"In 1 kilometre, exit to the left onto Exit 24: C407 - Clyde Road to Berwick"
You can see how the word "exit" is repeated. If we could mark exit numbers on the map, then the voice instruction could give a more natural sounding sentence, for example:
"In 1 kilometre, take exit 24 on the left onto C407 - Clyde Road to Berwick"
…
