Waze has licensed an EXCELLENT tts provider. It would only be better if they licensed AT&T TrueVoice

On Android allow BOTH native location provider and mock location
BlueGPS allows external GPS receiver to be published via mock location (or override native gps, but the latter only allows one GPS provider)
iOS needs an update to allow external gps receiver
Android can use Bluetooth or usb to connect to supplemental GPS receiver. Sirf chipsets currently provide the best NMEA sentence customization options.
Some GPS receivers provide faster cold start fixing. Some provide that and SBAS (WASS / egnos), and some receive GLOSNASS birds also.
Overall less battery drain than built in gps.

Waze could improve accuracy by allowing those in waze groups around inane-law enforcement officers or highway patrols.
Leading- and trailing, and in same wolf pack ... to reduce reporting- and publishing delay
Reports should be weighted with respect to trustworthiness or consistent reliability (and negatively weight falsely reporting not-there)

Speeding has everything to do with fuel efficiency ESPECIALLY with the NEEDLESSLY high cost of fossil fuels (biochemical solar energy storage) -- weak domestic energy policies must be corrected in favor of citizens. And poorly managed cities ought not be fleecing employed commuters

I have a tasker license. That does me no good with miui ROM :(
Expect it more challenging to exit waze since google purchase. I hacked deep settings to kill EVER PRESENT network location "service" -- maps prior to v 5.3 are not plagued such in gingerbread, but I'm not regressing. I run sans google framework; i prefer battery longevity ; i value my privacy
