I have to look several seconds to focus and read the small sign. This has caused me to not pay enough attention to traffic.

I have always loved the speed limit indicator. The problem foe me and many others (especially over 40), is that it is so small I can’t just glance at it and see what it is. I have to actually take my attention off traffic as I look over and take the time to focus on the speed limit. Another feature gone wrong I’d the speed sign. White numbers on a black sign can be read easily, but go over the speed limit and you get RED bumpers on black which are almost impossible to read. I know that red was chosen as a danger alert, but it fails to inform. I’ve asked for these numerous times but it hasn’t yet fit onto the developers list.

Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

The speed limit display sign is too small, especially for those of us over 40 whose near vision is affected. To see it, I must direct my attention solely on my iPhone X to focus enough to actually read it. My gut tells me that is dangerous. When you go over the speed limit, the speed color changes from white to red and that color combination is also very hard to read. Apple maps has a speed limit sign that’s easy to read. My car is equipped with a speedometer, so I am aware of my speed. As much as I live Waze, this problem continues to plague my loyalty.
