    a simpler option would be to familiarize yourself with phone native features or grabbing a simple app with only this functionality

    as an open standard there are no proprietary apps. Search your respective mobile market for an Xmpp Texting client that is also OTR capable to keep conversations secure and consequently private

    One account can be logged in simultaneously from multiple devices or lications.

    sms texting criples your ability to communicate constraining you to a single device

    there is a request for xmpp on the front page, as well as a jingle audio message option uou might enjoy as well
