This is an issue in the UK as "Smart motorway" are considered by a lot of drivers to be unsafe. A number of deaths have occurred and have been attributed to the lack of a reservation lane or so called "Smart" technology nor working or not working quickly enough. For Waze to have the facility to be able to avoid Smart Motorways would be a big plus and possibly save lives. Come on Waze Team, please look at this again.

To be able to use a voice command to respond to a Waze report - meaning, Waze reports an accident and asks "Is it still there". It is difficult (and possibly dangerous to respond when using Android Auto as this requires manual navigation to respond.

I had a reason to travel on the M27 motorway (UK) a section of which is a "Smart" motorway. Came across some congestion which was caused by smoke drifting across from a car on fire on the other carriagway. The car was on the inside lane but due to the wind direction, the smoke and flames were preventing vechiles passing so all three lanes were impassable. Worryingly, about half a mile past the incident I saw two emergency vechiles trying to get to the incident but were stuck as they could not get past/through the traffic. These type of motorways should not be called "Smart" - DD motorways would be a better title (Downright Dangerous). Waze Team - please, please look at this again.
