I don't understand why they don't add this. If you don't know when a bridge is open, you're going to get stuck in a traffic jam and not be able to do anything about it. There should be a way to at least alert people, or better yet, have an automatic marker like the one for emergency vehicles. If a bridge opens at random times, the API should be reliable enough to detect it and specifically label it "Bridge Open" instead of just "Standstill Traffic," which could be caused by anything like a crash. The app needs to reroute you only when it's actually quicker to go around the bridge than to wait for it. But once it becomes faster to just stay in line than to take the detour, the app should stop rerouting. Right now, the app keeps showing the bridge as the 'fastest' route, even when there is a good chance that I will get there right as it closes and end up stuck. If a bridge has a fixed schedule, it’s even easier because logically there’s a set amount of time where it’s faster to go around, and Waze should just automate that so people don't get stuck waiting for a boat to pass.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t let you do this too if the entire point of the new feature was to help you avoid touching your phone, because that’s still something you have to do if you can’t use your voice for this as well. I can’t even think of anything else that would need to be done while driving if you could use your voice for this as well. It shouldn’t even be that hard implement this.
