Dear Waze Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to suggest a small but potentially impactful addition to your hazard reporting menu: an “Animal” option.
As a frequent driver across both rural and urban roads, I often encounter animals on the carriageway — whether it’s live deer, cows, or unfortunate roadkill. These sightings occur on both lit and unlit roads, and they pose a real safety risk to drivers, especially at speed or in low visibility.
Adding “Animal” as a selectable hazard would allow users to quickly flag these locations, helping others approach with caution. Even a rough location marker would be valuable, particularly if the animal is moving or the hazard is temporary. It’s a simple tweak that could enhance driver awareness and potentially prevent collisions or distressing encounters.
Thanks for all the work you do to keep roads safer and smarter. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this suggestion.
