alerts hide the permitted speed
When a warning approaches, be it a speed camera 300 meters away, the warning comes on and stays on for that distance, obscuring the correct speed on the map. I don't know if I'm exceeding the speed limit or approaching the camera at the speed limit. It happens with any alert (I have images.)

Peace of Mind Alerts
Waze is already an industry leader in helping drivers navigate safely, avoid hazards, and stay informed. A proposed feature, “Peace of Mind Alerts,” would take this a step further by notifying users when they are approaching areas with visible political flags, signs, or propaganda that could be emotionally triggering or distressing to some individuals.
In today’s climate, political symbols and messages—regardless of affiliation—can evoke strong emotional reactions. While freedom of expression is essential, so is the mental and emotional safety of users. For some drivers, an unexpected encounter with provocative or controversial displays can disrupt their peace of mind, causing…

Idea: As a regular user navigating both urban and rural routes, I’ve often found that the fastest route suggested by Waze isn’t always the most fuel-efficient or cost-effective.
While speed may be a priority for some, many of us would benefit from a ‘Shortest Route’ option—especially when trying to cut down on fuel consumption, avoid tolls, or take simpler roads.
Adding this feature would:
Empower drivers to choose routes based on their personal values: time, cost, or sustainability.
Support eco-conscious travel, helping to reduce unnecessary emissions.
Offer a more economical alternative, particularly important as fuel prices continue to rise.

Option to Disable Specific Alerts, Including Speed Bump Notifications
I would like to request an option in Waze to allow users to disable specific types of notifications, such as speed bump alerts. While these notifications can be useful, they can become overwhelming in areas with numerous speed bumps. Having the ability to customize which alerts are enabled would greatly improve the driving experience and reduce distraction.

How Far Is 1,000 Feet???
Stop using 1,000 feet to describe every single next turn coming up. We don’t know how far that is. Use “three stoplights” or some other descriptor! Please!

Voice reply
We can report things like crashes or stopped vehicles but we can't reply to the "still there?" prompt. Even having the ability to confirm with voice after we had passed whatever it was would be nice

Lexus
It would be nice if the next turn instruction can be synced to work with the Lexus heads up display. The OE navigation has the next turn displayed in the cluster and the heads up display but Waze only has it in the cluster. I wonder if Waze can also be synced with the HUD like the OE navigation.

Please make the speed icon in the lower left corner larger with better contrasting colours. I find it difficult to read.

Autobahn / Highway prefering
It should be possible to not only avoid highways, we should also be able to choose to prefer them please. Nearly every time my ETA is getting earlier on the highway.

Google Maps have this option, Waze STRANGELY DOESN'T
Strangely on Google Maps there is a small option that is absent on WAZE that creates many problems for us motorcyclists who use the intercom in the helmet. Let me explain better, the motorcycle helmet intercoms support the double bluetooth audio association but not in a complete way. The first association is dedicated to our main phone or to the motorcycle's TFT, while the second association for mono audio only is associated with our second phone that is used only and exclusively as a navigator. In Google Maps there is a "play as bluetooth call" option that allows us to…

Sidekicks
Allow to have sidekicks not give directions. I love hearing street names. Sidekicks can speak when no directions are given. Such as on long roads, when stopped, etc.

Custom dpi setting
I have a car head unit that operates at 2560 x 1440 resolution with 160 dpi. The car vendor apps, including keyboard, have been adjusted for this dpi, however Waze app UI elements look very small on it and need to look twice as big to make it usable. It would be great if Waze had a setting to adjust its UI scaling factor to cater for such conditions. I.e., adding a setting with a scaling factor parameter would've solved this problem.
