Need to go back to old sleep mode selection
This sleep mode is not user friendly in this version. I will not use if it is not fixed! I love Waze but need easy way to go into sleep mode like it was in previous versions.

Purchase Car icons
I think Google/Waze is missing an opportunity to cross market and build more revenue. Waze should offer users to purchase (0.99) themed car icons, i.e., Jeep Wrangler, Star Wars, Batman, etc. There are endless options for cross marketing and revenue here...

Xiaomi Redmi Pad was just released on October 2022 and Waze app is currently incompatible and unavailable for download on this device.

Me pongo en contacto con ustedes para preguntarles si podría ser posible que incorporen la posibilidad de añadir rutas creadas en .gpx
Como usuario de Waze tanto de coche como de moto creo que sería una muy buena noticia poder ofrecer la oportunidad de añadir rutas descargadas para los usuarios de moto.

In WME: Force L1 & L2 editors to be "visible"
To actively follow the edits of new editors in WME, it would be helpful to force them to be "visible." This would be limited to L1 and L2 editors.Perhaps this could be incorporated as part of the new L1 edits approval process.

Option to reorder destinations
An option to drag destinations to reorder would be great. Or just some arrow buttons on the side to move up or down. The current auto-order for multiple destinations seems counterintuitive to me with the way I often use it, and it's annoying to have cancel and reroute every time.

Bug for Railroad crossings
The map displays railroad crossing, but it stays stuck on the map long after passing the crossing.

Voice options for each phrase
Voice options is a nice feature. But to make it really great it must stop being boring and embarrasing by repeating same phrases every time (especially on fun voices, like Terminator or Zombie).
- Add several possible options for each phrase to make it less boring.
- Never repeat same joke twice in row.
- Only play jokes when time allows, e.g. 1,5 km remaining - a nice oportunity to crank one.
So just allow recording clear directions and jokes separately and mix them programmatically when makes sense.7 votes -
X-Wing Car Icon
Years ago, before iPhones had Nav apps, I had a TomTom. My TomTom had an X-Wing Fighter Car Icon. Any thoughts to having one for Waze?

New Voice Command
Create a Drill Sergeant voice that says something like… hey knucklehead you missed the turn, you failed your mission or what’s wrong moron, can you follow simple directions?

Vehicle mode selection when confirming route
I am aware there is a motorcycle mode in settings, however like many others, I often switch between motorcycle and car, it would be really handy to have a button or drop down menu to chose the vehicle type when selecting your route rather than having to go into settings each time.

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where…7 votes -
Driver Avatars/Icons
Gamification in apps like this can incentivize consumers to increase usage of your app. More frequent users ultimately increases your revenue from advertising and other potential sources. My idea is that you should incorporate a point/coin system that rewards users for driving miles using Waze. These points can then be used to buy avatars and icons in place of the boring arrow that represents the driver. The more points you save up, the cooler avatars you can buy. Changing lanes
As a qualified driving instructor I very much like your app. However, when instructing to change lanes, your instructions often come too late often leaving the pupil straddling lanes or prevented from changing lanes. Advance warning is needed.

Hola mi nombre es Marco Muñoz, mi sugerencia. Una opcion y poder elegir que tipo de vehiculo llevamos, por ejemplo: camioneta mas carro de arrastre, asi poder buscar calles mas amplias para giros. Saludos

For Right Hand Drive countries, give directions from the right speaker.
I live in a RHD country and the directions from Waze come out of the front left hand speaker - which makes perfect sense in the (majority) LHD countries, but is quite hard to hear in certain circumstances.
Either the sound should come equally out of both front speakers or it should be localised so that in LHD countries it comes out of the left speaker, and in RHD countries it comes out of the right speaker so it's closest to the driver.
