  1. Police Zones

Every time you drive on the highway, there are always spots where cops will hide out. Most people will slow down near no u-turn areas because they know of cops hiding there. When somebody makes a report of a cop in an area multiple times, zones or blue circles should be lightly covered on the map and fade over time. These zones will let users know "hey cops like this area a lot" or "ok cops do camp out over here just not recently". I think zoning is an easy thing to add and it helps people slow down in…

  2. Delete planned drive

Make it possible to delete planned drives from Waze that are automatically synced from your calendar of from Facebook. I don't need reminders on when to leave for some events.

  3. Bobcat Goldthwait

I think it's self explanatory. Since the inception of consumer grade GPS, I have held that Bobcat Goldthwait would be the best navigation voice. You have the power....but do you have the cojones?

  4. Give us a target speed in traffic jams to help Waze users optimize average throughput

I recently read this article: http://www.bbc.com/autos/story/20160428-how-ai-will-solve-traffic-part-one

It talks about how going slower and keeping more space between your car and other cars can actually improve the flow of traffic when it's all jammed up. It also explains how autonomous cars will make this work much better, but also indicates that we can help improve things now by changing our driving behavior.

The article also explains how the highway patrol sometimes sends cars through traffic jams on the highway to break it up and re-channelize it.

If the Waze app could give users a target speed based on traffic conditions, and…

  5. Make Traffic Slowdowns More Visible when using Directions

Invert the color scheme when using directions so the purple stripe is not overshadowing traffic red/yellow/orange. Example: https://twitter.com/steviecoolest/status/723576075452841985

  6. PLASE Waze take us exactly at the intended address, in front of the entrance of intended building, no alleyways, back or side of building

PLASE Waze take us exactly at the intended address, in front of the entrance of intended building, no alleyways, back or side of building

It's such a waste of time every time it happens.

  7. Proximity routing for Home/Work

Many people use waze on a daily basis as a way to avoid traffic. We know how to get home or to work, and sometimes our work places have multiple entrances. These entrances don't always trigger waze that you have arrived, so even once I'm in the building, suddenly I hear waze trying to route me through the office hallways from my pocket.....

A new feature called "proximity routing" that the user can enable for their "home/work" locations would take care of this problem. Once the driver gets close, waze would indicate you have arrived and go into sleep mode.…

  8. Automatic Favorites

If I deviate from my route and stop for any length of time, Waze should prompt me to add as a favorite place when I resume. For example if I stop at grocery store, car wash, gym or any other place on way home I'd like to have I my favorite places to add as stop on future trips. Likewise if I'm on a trip and stop at great place to eat, I might want to stop next time.

  11. "Prefer Freeways" instead of "Avoid Tolls"

Currently, you can set Waze to 'avoid tolls' which is handy - but this prevents Waze from recommending tollways when there is traffic on the freeway. For example, in Dallas we have 635 and 635 Express. Both follow the exact same path, the only difference is the express lanes cost around $5. It would be very nice if Waze would prefer the freeway, but still recommend the tollway if there is significant traffic reported on the freeway.

Also, Waze seems to have trouble telling if I am on the freeway or tollway, since they are basically right next to each…

  12. Route color change after we past it

As we all know, from route planning to until we get to the target, the track color is the same (purple by default).
The problem is that the section we past and the section we are going to is in the same color.
Since the software can identify the direction of motion, I suggest that every section of the planned route that we passed will return to normal color of the map or will fade to make a Separation from the section which you are traveling to.
If you navigate while watching briefly on the map from time to time,…

After the redesign Waze no longer routes me properly.
Was the navigation ruined in the redesign? Give me back my old Waze.

  15. Avoiding Via

At first step, the purpose of this list (or menu) is:
Any user to create a list of roads, streets, etc. that will be avoided by them, either by holes (poor maintenance) or Unsafe (crime) preventing Waze of create routes for such via.

In a second step, the policies and area managers (Waze) create risk zones with respect to crime.

  16. Turn notification before you've passed it!

This morning I reviewed my route and when I got to a turn I knew I was supposed to take, no notice. So I paused IN TRAFFIC at the turn and nothing. So I drove a few hundred feet, THEN it told me to turn - way past the street. Don't know why it does this sometimes and not others, but it's really frustrating. I don't want to make the turn in the event I've been rerouted because of traffic, but I don't really need to add time to my commute either.

  17. Classificação de bairro no waze ( Perigoso ou Não)

Meu nome é Veronica de la Hoz, moro em SP - Brasil e estou muito triste com o ocorrido no RJ este final de semana e eu moro na Al. Júpiter 39, no Condominio Jd.

  18. Risk Area Idenfication By Zip Code

The waze could consider in their paths neighborhoods considered several risk based on ZIP code. Currently, many transportation companies use such resources to make deliveries and considered at risk neighborhoods, deliveries are made with escort.

The neighborhoods considered at risk or streets could be highlighted with different colors so drivers have to avoid these paths.

  19. Clicking any "All Turns" list item zooms to location (upcoming in route)

During navigation, there is no short/simple way to look at a location point of your route ahead. Regardless, a simple and low click, logical solution would be to achieve looking at your upcoming route point for traffic purposes (or whatever reason) would be looking at your "All Turns" list (1 click) then one could scroll through all the upcoming turns, select a location (2nd click), and the screen then reverts to your map route, but targeted to view the turn selected on the "All Turns" list. Returning to the original view where the experience started is as simple as pressing…

  20. bonjour,

    bonjour,
il pourrait être utile de rajouter une option de réglage de la vitesse maximum du véhicule pour les utilisateurs qui, comme moi utilisent parfois un véhicule du groupe lourd limité à 90km/h
