Allow the ability to specify the location of a report.
When reporting an issue, crash, traffic jam, fire, Police activity, the system only gives you the option to report on the road you are on. So for example, if you are at an interchange where you can see the activity on a highway or interstate, but you are not on that road, you can't actually report it properly. Maybe it can be set up that you make a report, and like in google maps, you have a pin dropped on the map that you can move to the correct location, if where you are is not the location of the activity. Example: look at Cromwell Park Drive, Glen Burnie, MD on google maps. You will see that there is an interchange where I-97 passes by. You can see the activity on the highway, even if you are not on it.

Just now i tried to report police activity, but i drive a motorcycle. The moment i could stop i was already too far away. What's up with this feature? Cmon man make it happen already...
Still no answer from the product team? This feature is essential.

Terrible that I could not notify once I have passed! If I am being checked by police, I will not have my phone in my hand ... I could easily place it on the map once I have passed but the app does not allow for it! Really terrible!
make it easy to report and for a location that you just passed. it's not always possible to mark at the exact location while driving
Need to add this. I wanted to report a crash once I was safely parked, but it doesnt allow for that?
i want to manually add place for police patrol to be more accurate for others! when i see what's happening in another streets, soma crash or rush hour and can't add precise location, it's teribble. sry, my english is not naturaly

This is absolutely ridiculous that they haven't fixed this issue yet. Its been out for a while and people have been saying it since Waze first came out, are the DEVS even working on Waze or have they quite? Why don't you guys change the app to what the people want? This is nonsensical.
I agree with most posters here, this is a vital addition for many reasons. Please add it to an already fantastic app!

voted 3 times. Any updates? Still can tag a location I am not at yet so...... guess not... Seems like a huge overlook and an easy "fix".... wazederp
It would be good if you could report a hazard where there is no data signal then waze send the report as soon as data is available this is very useful where traffic issues occur in poor signal areas
We should be able to backtrack on the road we are on just as we can pan ahead to mark missed hazards or other reports. For example running over road debris unseen won't help if we can't go back and mark the area when we're down the road another 1/4 mile past it.
I agree !
Allowing users to "pin drop" a certain distance along their route would be better than inaccuracy or, in some cases, missing the chance to report it entirely.
Don't want to be messing around with my phone as I pass a cop, or other hazard. I haven't been able to actually use the app to report much because by the time I have Waze up, I'm already too far down the road to report things accurately.
This is a vital feature !

I would be good to attach it to a JUNCTION. So when you have 4/5 streets going into an intersection, and each driver reports one report it's kinda problem. It should be just one.
This would be so useful. I could see a hazard causing numerous roadblocks but my report was useless as I wasn't yet at that road.
When travelling up a hill through a new hazard like river of mud running down I want to report it but I have to wait till i am past the hazard because I'm trying to keep car on the road. Specifying a location when reporting would be nice but Waze should require that you have gone down that route (5 min or less) to avoid false reporting.

Needed to INCREASE road safety for others by accurately reporting highway patrol or police, or other dangerous objects
Uninstalled waze just now terrible functions
Why the fuck is this not a built in feature as default seems common sense to me.
