Allow the ability to specify the location of a report.
When reporting an issue, crash, traffic jam, fire, Police activity, the system only gives you the option to report on the road you are on. So for example, if you are at an interchange where you can see the activity on a highway or interstate, but you are not on that road, you can't actually report it properly. Maybe it can be set up that you make a report, and like in google maps, you have a pin dropped on the map that you can move to the correct location, if where you are is not the location of the activity. Example: look at Cromwell Park Drive, Glen Burnie, MD on google maps. You will see that there is an interchange where I-97 passes by. You can see the activity on the highway, even if you are not on it.

En alguna ocasión detecto policía oculta pero no tengo el waze encendido o tarda en coger cobertura de GPS. Si poco más adelante puedo parar y enviar esa ubicación desde un lugar cercano, seria de gran ayuda para otros wazers.

Sometimes we cannot suggest issues while driving but can when stationary. This would be a great feature if you can add reports while stationary

Wow, I read the dates of when this issue was first reported and it STILL hasn't been fixed! Common Waze, get it together.

One more request for this.
Waze eats battery like no one's business, so I don't have it on most of teh time.
By the time it boots up, I'm a mile away.I really want to help Wazers, but I need this feature in order to move the report to the correct location.

Yeah, I'm not reporting things while I'm driving... I'll get to where I'm going and then report it.

Muchas gracias.

Terrible that I could not notify once I have passed! If I am being checked by police, I will not have my phone in my hand ... I could easily place it on the map once I have passed but the app does not allow for it! Really terrible!

make it easy to report and for a location that you just passed. it's not always possible to mark at the exact location while driving

This is absolutely ridiculous that they haven't fixed this issue yet. Its been out for a while and people have been saying it since Waze first came out, are the DEVS even working on Waze or have they quite? Why don't you guys change the app to what the people want? This is nonsensical.

I agree with most posters here, this is a vital addition for many reasons. Please add it to an already fantastic app!

Perhaps that could be an option, but it shouldn't be the only way of doing it. It's one thing for me to tap a couple big buttons on the screen while driving (I have my phone on a dash mount, so I can do it while still keeping an eye on the road, and it's less of a distraction than messing with the radio). But to look at a map and try and figure out the exact spot something is would be too distracting. It doesn't have to be perfect, but placing it like I suggested would make it a lot more accurate than it already is. A better way to do it based on your suggestion would be to allow other drivers to correct the position, so somebody driving could report it and have it be close enough, but somebody riding as a passenger could come by and move it to a more accurate location.

That is the totally ass backwards solution to a broken reporting system.
I agree with you 100% but instead, why not just let people specify the exact position where the thing is! Then you wouldn't have to try and figure out which position is correct, based on which user managed to get his phone out in time (or turned his car around to get an exact position report) or another user wouldn't have to go back and fix something that the OP could have just been more precise with to begin with
If everyone could just touch the map where the report should go, none of this would be an issue!

The current reporting is a joke. It is useless in cities or heavily urban areas.
You may get the report to within half mile IF you have your phone in your hand AND you have waze loaded up. God forbid you see something down a cross street- what are you supposed to alter your route and go miles out of your way to report this thing after you get close enough to it?
Waze is only truly accurate in rural areas where there is only one street you could possibly be on at a time.
