I wish to report a VERY VERY annoying issue in waze! Today I opened the app, typed in an address in the “Where to?”, and clicked “Go Now”. However, a few seconds after clicking the Go Now I decided to scroll around the area, on the waze map, to check traffic patterns! Within 30 seconds the system dragged me back to the cursor, basically the system “Re Center” me on its own volition!!! Please disable this feature!!! It’s either a glitch or either someone at waze deliberately programmed it in such a way in the hopes of enhancing the waze experience. If it’s the latter the NO, it does NOT enhance the waze experience!!!!!! I understand if the automatic Re Center is implemented following a certain period of inactivity, however, I was actively scrolling in the waze map, with my thumb, WHEN this Re Center took place. In fact my thumb was on the screen when I was Re Centered!!!!!! My suggestion is reprogram the app so the “Re Center” takes place ONLY when the user MANUALLY clicks the recenter triangle OR implement the automatic recenter following a certain period of inactivity, such as 30-60 seconds for instance, BUT NOT when your thumb is actively touching the screen.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. Why was auto centering ever put in anyway? Let the user decide where the map should be!!! Re, Google maps.
