This would really be helpful

Lets say that you always make a stop, off of the patch that Waze's provided. You could use this as a favorite and maps it every time. This would save you from adding stops, etc..

I'm absolutely behind this one. I have tested out around 5 different routes to work with variations on each and all have their plusses and minuses. It would be great to have these variations saveable because there is little way to tell Waze that a 1km stretch is bogland and not worth driving on, so a 5m detour is actually better. Things like that.

I drive the same route to and from work everyday, I only want to know if theres a major issue that would be wise to detour around. If it hit 'work' or 'home' i want the preferred route not redirecting for the first 15 mins of my trip. As this was asked in 2010 i would have liked an update by now.

Only give me verbal directions on my way to Home or Work if there is bad traffic or detour, etc. I know how to get home I just want Waze to give me alternative routes when required.

Please allow us to save preferred routes. Waze sometimes gives completely different routes in the morning for my daily route. If I am being redirected from my regular daily route I want to be able to see what the time difference would be between my usual route vs. the route's Waze suggests. This morning Waze gave me completely different routes and my usual route was unavailable to compare. I nervously took my usual route any ways and it was faster than any of the route's Waze had suggested I take.

I drive from Maine to Florida, and back, about three times a year and it would be a great aid to save the route.

I would like the preferred route option for my home and work address. Coupled with a time setting for when to deviate from the preferred route. Ie. if another route is more than X min faster, use that route (and inform me of why the alternate route is used like a crash, heavier than normal traffic, etc).

I came here specifically to suggest this. I get near daily notifications that there's heavy traffic on a certain route home. That's why I never go that way. Let me set a favorite route so Waze will let me know what's up on the trip I actually take.

I agree about this feature. I would like to save my route in Austin without the express toll lanes on Loop 1. I have to go into settings, select avoid tolls to see how long my drive is without paying $10 for 10 miles daily. Then I guess because I do take the toll 45. Frustrating.

I have a specific route I like to take to the airport because it avoids certain roads. Currently I have to set my route in Waze to an intermediate destination in order to get the route I want. Would love to be able to save the preferred route. Right now my best bet is the route scribbled down on a piece of paper in the dash compartment for the few times I year I need it.

Yes, agree with all, I drive sometimes 1000km in one day and would love to set up a rutt with the prefered stoping points, even stops for a coffey break,

I think that an option, easy to implement, is to have preferred waypoints and de-preferred waypoints . The same way we have a list of destinations. This way, Waze can rank take this into account adding or substracting seconds to alternate routes. I have my preferred routes and, in some cases, places I don't want to go through because they're unsafe, not paved or pass by an ex's house. It's annoying to have Waze asking me to change my route every single intersection.
