Set permanent preferred routes for common commute such as: home to work and work to home

Set permanent preferred routes for common commute such as: home to work and work to home. Most people already have a set route preferred from home to work and back. Also set ways to drive to the everyday shopping stores. For those common commutes, it would be useful if Waze would give you your preferred route for the routes you have established in the favorites menu to location, rather than one based on set rules. It would be even more interesting if waze can learn your preferred routes when you commute to locations set in the Favorites list.

    I agree, I travelled from Whangarei to Kaitaia last week and Waze wanted to take me off State Highway One and around some back roads then link me back onto State Highway one fifteen or so Km further North, I know the road well and kept going however I pity some poor tourist who has no idea where they are going (yes this is a tourist destination) you would surly think that any mapping program would know that State Hwy 1 is a major and open road and would at least bring it up as an alternative route and not need any user input.
    Not all locals and tourists have Waze so it could take a long time before the map gets enough user input to trigger an update.
    I have tryed to do a map edit but the map is locked, it is very confusing on how to request a map edit and I simply have not the time to sit down and try to nut it out, one simple button requesting the change would be a start.
    Please do not take this as being a negative but a suggestion to make this a better product.

    I've heard of a "back way" to get to the beach. I want to be able to enter the route manually and follow directions. As it is now, I have to drive it a few times for Waze to get to know it.
    I also want to be able to send it to friends.

    Great idea! AND I'd like to suggest that when a route is provided every day and you NEVER take it, it goes away. I don't take routes that force me into traffic that's hard to break into and then near impossible to navigate from one lane to another. But every morning it suggests that route and every morning I go a different way and go by several streets before it finally reroutes me on a road I will take.

    I agree. I have preferred routes and I would like to always be able to compare the driving time for my preferred route vs the other recommended routes. Some of the recommended routes are very hectic to drive and if I'm not saving more than 5 minutes I will still take my slightly slower, but preferred route. There is no reason why this feature could not easily be added. It seems to be a popular request.

    I want to be able to program MY 3 preferred routes home and not have Waze give me different routes every day. I know which routes work for me and just want to be able to select the best one on any particular day.

    Would be great to have the ability to save preferred routes, especially for commuters who take the same route every day -- despite what routing appears in navigation.
