I know neither what is going on to the app nor if it is just in Brazil. The problem is, the app is always seeking for GPS location (even though when both the mobile location is settled in high accuracy and when using supporting apps to improve location accuracy). The problem is generalized in the whole country, just take a look at the comments on google play. The app is losing thousands of active users (Uber drivers) who upload information daily into the app. Everyone has been migrating to Google maps, though we find waze better, we have been forced to do so.
